Old lady grandma here, I learned that enjoying life (like organizing styles) can be different for everybody at different ages. Children start out as butterflies, but might end up being crickets. Wild table dancing biker chicks (ahem!) can end up happily making quilts for foster kids. There’s no one age that requires us to do anything, we just got into it somehow at our own rate. Best advice? Don’t Worry Be Happy!❤😊

That wall of white, unlabeled containers gave me anxiety. 🐞

I’m a highly organized cricket who leans toward minimalism. My son just moved back home from college and he’s a butterfly who loves his collections and likes to have everything out where he can see it. We’re trying to find a happy medium - pray for me 😂

Ok everyone, please grab your popcorn and let's watch our girl Cas. Please, be careful eating the popcorn because Cas can be hilarious at times.

6:11 As a Bee, seeing all the open shelves reminds me of all the dust that will collect. Eek, so much work! Fellow Bees, a cabinet with glass doors for your pretty daily dishware is everything! My last apartment had one, and it was so gorgeous! And way less dusty.

I’m a cricket in my kitchen and living spaces, a ladybug in my office, and a bee in my sewing room. Talk about hot mess!!!

I was born into the "old lady" status! I have never liked scary amusement park rides and I've always liked relaxing at home. Thanks, Cas! I love your videos!

Why would you need to put away an Oreo? Just eat it 💙

So, here is an observation: I'm a ladybug for sure. BUT there are certain things I have to leave out or I'll forget them. Like taking my supplements everyday - I forget unless I see them on my counter. Or returning something to Target. I'll forget about it, even if it's in my car, if I don't see it. To me, this indicates that ladybugs and crickets might not be visual but they still might need visual reminders of things they have to do.

I'm a bee and OMG that wall of unlabelled white organizers STRESSES ME OUT. I have a colour sorted rotating lip gloss tower where I can see every colour, and a wall with all of my hangable costume jewellery hung up, and they make me DELIRIOUSLY happy. If they were in all white unlabelled bins I would never use them, they would cease to exist to me.

Can we start talking about applying different styles to different rooms? My kitchen - everything is away, behind cupboards. Bathroom - on the counter, organized in a caddy. Ditto for shower and bathtub. Bedroom, clothes away in closets and dressers and LOTS of pretty things on display on my dresser tops and shelves. Art? Everywhere in my home!

Cas, I owe you so much for helping me to understand my ADHD Butterfly self. I had retail-therapied myself into buying like a decade of soaps and lotions and room sprays and candles... I kept trying to organize things, and trying not to buy things, and it was useless. Then I bought some bins from Dollar Tree and threw all the bar soaps in one, and lotions in another, and pump soap in a third, and so on. This has been LIFESAVING. Now that I can see everything in my buckets on my closet shelves, I don't even think about buying any more because I still have lots of neat stuff at home. I now have things put up, I'm actually using the stuff I have, and my credit card doesn't cry as much, lol.

I never had trouble having my spices alphabetized. The rest of my house was a mess, but my spices were alphabetized!

I recognize til vacuum do us part. She’s one of my favorite YouTubers. Trust me, everything in her house including hidden spaces are that organized.

The idea of organizing books by color is insane! I can't imagine having to remember what color a book's cover was in order to find it! 😵‍💫

I am stuck somewhere between Cricket and Ladybug. I sort my clothes in order of the colour wheel, I hide stuff away, but I have more plants than imaginable, and I get energy from my treasure cabinets with glass doors! I'm not mega-detailed. It's funny that I still watch Clutterbug's every video and podcast. My house is completely under control, decluttered and organised. But I love you Cass! I have to stick with you.

When I was in my mid to late 40s I shared that same feeling with my dad because I couldn't understand why things that never bothered me before was starting to bother me now and I will never forget what he told me, God rest his soul. He told me that was a sign of wisdom because I had come to learn what could happen or the affect of these things could have on me and that was perfectly natural. That really changed my perception on aging in my life. I am now 66. I truly miss my dad!! ❤❤❤
