Have the grooms cake delivered to a soup kitchen to share with their next meal to the community.

10:38 OP should tell mum that she can wear the gown and stay the fuck home

Cake story:  It goes without saying that the bride should contact ALL vendors, preferably in person, and make sure that they honor your choices only, and that they are to ignore any attempted changes by anybody who is not you over the phone.  In other words, unless you show up in person to make changes, they are NOT to change anything per someone else’s request.  Perhaps insist on a password or something.  You’d think vendors would know better by now, not to change things for just anybody calling in because this seems to happen a lot now.

So tired of hearing about all these brides and grooms that think their friends should be treating them to lavish VACATIONS  for their bach parties!  It's a ridiculous expectation of other people's money and time.

As someone who worked in the wedding industry for three years, I worked at a bridal shop, I can 1,000% attest that momzilla's and groomzilla's often are worse than a bridezilla. If you have family members who are pushy, you need to give a password. I personally dealt with a momzilla who was trying to order a different wedding dress because she hated the dress her daughter chose. The mom was trying to pretend she was her daughter, daughter had already picked up the dress and she never told her mother... I asked her if the exchange was due to any complications with the dress, was the zipper not working, was something wrong with the beading because if so our seamstresses can absolutely fix the issue. There were crickets on the other end, and then she hung up the phone. I called the bride to inform her as to what happened, I told her to call every single vendor and give them all passwords just in case. Bride was upset and she hollered at her fiance to start calling vendors, she thanked me and said she and her fiancee are going to set passwords because her mother was bitching about everything.

My Mom called me a bridezilla. I didn't have a wedding party. I asked nicely if certain things could be done or not. I have food allergies and tried to make it as easy as possible for the venue, I didn't want to be a bother, but I also didn't want to be having an allergic reaction on my big day. I never yelled it pitched a fit when sleeping wasn't as I had pictured or asked. I simply felt a little sad and let it go. The important parts were having fun, making that commitment to my husband, and that everyone had a good time. I believe this was accomplished. Parents can be difficult sometimes. The worst thing I did was protect my peace by not inviting certain family members that always cause drama.

Mom who wants her new boyfriend to walk her daughter down the aisle with her: I wonder if the mom is in an excessively-controlling relationship. It might be her boyfriend who's pushing for a place of power and significance. He might be threatening to walk from the relationship if he doesn't get his way.

Get security guards at the venue… to stop any cakes showing up.

I can’t believe that some engaged couples expect (and force) their friends to fund elaborate parties, pay for their own wedding-clothes, plus a wedding gift 🤦🏻‍♀️ What is wrong with these arrogant a-holes? If you are having a wedding, YOU need to pay for 100% of it. Your wedding party and guests should only have to pay for one modest wedding gift and NOTHING else

32:28 I think it’s she wants bridesmaids but doesn’t want to pay. So she has them pay for their own hair and makeup, dresses and the bachelorette party. Things that (at least where I am from) the bride traditionally covers

Cake story: I would be petty... let the cake be delivered, buuuuuuut let your orginizer/venue recieve/intercept it, and tell them to just have the cake completely cut and served along with the rest of the deserts 😂

11:05 that Mom sounds like she has severe Narcissistic tendencies.

The cake story, for the petty revenge I would have the bakery swap the cake for a flowery single serving cake and place it at her seat. Then tell her "you clearly really wanted a slice of cake, so we got one just for you! ".

Wedding 1. Hair topper, less than $50 adds length with simple clips.

For the cake story, I would have called and changed the cake to something else like brownies or cookies or different flavored cheesecakes

35:45  Tell your mom she will no longer be walking you down the aisle either.  Tell her she has broken your trust, and tried to make your wedding about her and her new boyfriend.  The boyfriend has zero reason to be a part of your wedding.  He is your mom's boyfriend, but you don't have a familial relationship with him.  Tell your mom if she continues to try to pressure you, then neither her or her boyfriend will even be invited to the wedding.

People have gone insane over their weddings 💒 A wedding itself is just a fancy party with legal papers, NOT a royal coronation. It is the actual marriage that matters!

My ex and I were each other's second marriage, so we didn't really want a big to-do. We deliberately planned our wedding for 2:00 because it's after lunch but before dinner, so no reception was necessary. Day of, his mom showed up with a platter of sandwiches and other finger foods. Then guests started coming with trays of food. MIL had turned our wedding into a potluck. I was MORTIFIED. One of the most humiliating days of my entire life.

25:17 oooohhh we had a cupcake tower at our wedding! Small cake at the top.😂❤😻

I would put the cake right in front of my mother’s place setting.
