This VR6 TT is really turning out to be a GREAT project, but if it doesn't run then the whole build falls apart very quickly!

Today, we attempt to get the car running AND driving, replace spark plugs, attempt a service and hopefully hear that VR6 engine (through half an exhaust)

On a side note, something big dropping in the next video... whilst it's still summer!

drill bolt heads off with a proper HSS drill 3.3mm then 8mm and tap with hammer - no grinder damage

The rattle noise you heard is most likely the intake sounds when you don't have an airbox on.

I've personally run 450bhp on standard coil packs and ok know plenty of people that have run a lot more. Not sure why you'd need to upgrade them on a standard engine so you made the right choice lol. However black wheels are almost as much of a sin as 4D plates. Silver is almost always the correct answer. Classy and understated. You lose all the shape of a wheel in black, may as well be a steel lol.

Worst case, $750 is an AMAZING price for a nicely idling 3.2lt vr6… much less the transmission, etc… hopefully you can easily find replacement parts.

14:32 bro, with that much of a chunk out of the rim… it COULD have a piece welding in, but the welding of it will put so much extra weight in that area. The wheel will be terribly out of balance. Getting a replacement is a much better plan!

Just found your channel, love the content. The traction control light will go off once you've driven it a few miles. The steering wheel warning icon is for the steering angle sensor (SAS). Once you have it running, turn the wheel lock-to-lock 2x times and start driving, it will likely go off too. These are common on Audis and come on every time you disconnect the battery for any significant time. If the SAS warning doesn't go off just turning the wheel lock-to-lock and driving, VCDS or any proper scan tool can do the calibration.
