input speed has always been tough for me.

I suck at combos in fighting games. I was working on one for a trophy for 3 months. I got it six hours after watching your video. Thanks man!

that intro is great

No disrespect but i think you have a similar look to triple H. Thanks for the vid!

I tried to get into fighting games, picked up Blazblue Central Fiction and holy fuck the combos in that game are brutal

I always forget combos in a real game there are not as important as actually learning to hit you're opponent and defending. That is just me

Great video. My problem is it's taking so long to work through one characters trials and to get them committed to muscle memory, if I were to do all character trials I dont think I'd ever get to play the actual game.

Good stuff. I remember the real frustration struggling with trial modes back in older games... Another technique is visualisation, which Olympians use to improve their performance. You simply imagine yourself doing the thing you are trying to get better at, so imagine yourself pressing those buttons and hitting those combos and you will get better.

I heard a story that Poongko did a variation of this in a hotel room one time. Being super late at night and with no access to a console, he simply practiced combos and setups using nothing but an unplugged stick.

For me combo input speed is easy but actually rememebering combos is always hard for me because i have tereible short and long term memory but ty this video helped me a bit better tk rememeber combos

playing video games is spiritual as with everything else in life... we all need mercy

My hardest trial is LITERALLY ALL OF THEM. Glad to see that you had trouble with them too, and your tips helped me refine my own breakdown method.

I thought i was given up on fighting combos but after getting some tips from this video, i can finally execute simple combos, ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
The King of fighters's combo system was a hell to learn.

One tip is like to interject for fighting game & combo virgins is to try and figure the correct timing for each button press. I notice allot of beginners will button mash when doing a combo so that each subsequent move comes out on time. Try to learn to watch that character animation and get a feel for what it looks like when you're able to cancel to the next move. That way you're only pressing your buttons once and then moving on, whereas if you button mash you're pushing the buttons and making motions trying to get your timing correct and you're liable to not only drop inputs, but your hands will be out of position in case of a bad hit confirm or read. Just my own lil 2 cents for newbies. Keep fighting and eventually you'll be Brian F and Justin Wong level! You're great! I know you are!

Just started getting back in to fighting games and glad I came across your content. thank

Tips 1-4 yep...good... 3:06 lol . Repeat 1-4 several times, this actually works! Cheers mate!

great video! wish i found it sooner!

#5 Do the fucking combo.

Okay, you get a like for that one.

Thanks for this video. I actually have been doing trials in many fighting games lately, and so far I'd say that the only characters that have been giving me a lot of trouble are charge characters, and grapplers.

You are a GOAT for this videos! Thanks

Best combo breakdown on YouTube! Thank you!!
