To jest najgłupszy dworzec w Polsce. Jeździłem do Poznania swego czasu służbowo przez 5 lat 2 razy w miesiącu i miałem dosyć. Do tego jeszcze cały Poznań rozkopany i nigdy nie wiedziałem czy zdążę na spotkanie i co oni tam jeszcze odwalili.

I'm from Poznań and I HATE CHLEBAK. I have to use this train station quite often because it's the fastest way for me to get home. I hate it when the tunnel is crowded, people walk really slow and I have to sprint from platform 7 or 11 to platform 1. Also it's a shame that often  there is no place to sit in the main hall due to drunk, smelly and aggresive people. The only good thing about our main station is that there is a Biedronka open on sundays, when everything else is closed.

There is a simple but expensive trick to make this station better:
-demolish old station building - it serves no purpose anyway, also it is not worth saving as it was heavily modified in 70s
-in place of old building make more platforms (especially useful when fast CPK trains will be built)
-expand breadbox to cover all new platforms (together with undergound tunnel it would make a great communication passage). No need to demolish new station

This station was built for Euro 2012 and at that time it was supposed to be a very modern building, and it was. Since there was little time and money, they were looking for an investor. A Hungarian developer was found to build a new terminal and take over the area of ​​the old terminal and build a hotel there. Something went wrong, so the investor built a new terminal but did not connect the platforms with the telminal with a footbridge and did not build a hotel. This station is criticized mainly for its poor functionality. Around 2040, a new station will be built along with the reconstruction of the track and platform layout. This time it will be a comprehensive reconstruction. From what I understand, the tender for the reconstruction concept will be announced this year. This time, time is not rushing us and there is time to think about the project and we should remember that Poland is developing rapidly and now the requirements for the railway junction in Poznań (incidentally one of the three most important railway junctions in Poland, next to Warsaw and Wrocław) are much greater. In a word, the project failed only because Poland developed faster than expected. So you should be happy about it and wait for the new, rebuilt main station in Poznań.

Koleje Wielkopolskie operate the whole Voivodeship (and sometimes lil bit further). Polregio run in all of Poland but usually sticks within the voivodeship borders. Almost each Voivodeship has polregio and Voivodeship government run operators (such as Koleje wielkopolskie, dolnośląskie etc.). Then there's PKP Intercity (better call it intercity, not pkp) which is intercity faster trains. Recently there's also regiojet (Czech operator) that decided to show up in Poland with a couple of lines, which is also an intercity, fast train.
- As for local Koleje Wielkopolskie: red and white colours - it's not because of polish flag (colors) but Greater Poland Voivodeship. Same goes for the eagle - it's Greater Poland Coat of Arms, not Poland's. That's kinda important. Koleje Dolnośląskie have it done in a similar way, but colors are yellow/black.
2. The old building was once great and cool looking but WW2... You get the rest.
There are plans for it to be demolished completely (same goes for Chlebak) and a new building is planned. In the place of the old building there are supposed to be a new rail tracks and the new building will be at the corner of where you started the video.

3. Soon the old classic steam locomotive train is going to be doing regular shifts between Poznań - Wolsztyn (on saturday) and Wolsztyn - Zbąszynek on week days. You should look it up and hop on. It's the only train like this in the whole Europe.
4. As for the police activity - ye, there is more at some stations but in your case first guys were security of the rail station and the second ones outdoor, city guards.

It's the plstforms being a hell hole + the gallery location is nightmare, try running from one far platform to another

I visited Poznań Główny last year for the first time from Wrocław Glowny and I got a bit lost trying to find the way to Stare Miasto and ended up in the bus station 😂
The numbered layout of the platforms was a bit baffling but I managed to find my platform for my onward regional train to Leszno.
Zabka was a lifesaver for me as all the supermarkets were shut over Easter from Good Friday to the following Tuesday as Zabka were open everywhere 👍🇵🇱

The reason for this big amount of Zabkas in Poland is incredibly easy process and requirements to open one.
