Not a teacher, but noticed my kindergartener knows all his letters, sounds, and can easily segment, but struggles with blending! Thanks for all these tips!

I’m not a teacher but I’m teaching my six and a half year old son whom struggling with reading any word. Yesterday I tried CVC words with continuous sound and it worked with him. We were so happy that he got the idea of blending. Thank you for sharing these tips.

I home school my 10 yr old in the spectrum since my daughter was diagnosed with breasts cancer. I've researched so many websites. I'm so blessed to have found you. Although I've gotten through a lot of what you've covered learning the reason why phonics is taught in a certain way makes total sense to me now. We also homeschool because one year in public school was very detrimental to him. He regressed two grades. Praise the Lord, he's doing better. I will continue to follow you. Yes! The minute I tried CVC words he started trying to change the topic (which means we went from “this is fun” to “this is hard”)
