This is one of the concepts that is easy in theory. You will literally encounter so many scenarios when it's so unclear which one to use.

honestly. this was perfect and is exactly how i see language/conversation in english. thank you!!

I've given up with using the correct term. I've been studying Spanish for half my life now and will never figure this out. This explanation was great because it went outside of the typical use of preterite and imperfect. Maybe I should just study this more.

I was thinking the secret to your success is that you know what the student needs to learn but that is half the story, you also explain that extremely well. Thank you again.

This is great, because when you explain your thought process why, and give different approaches with explinations, it really completes the whole picture and gives an older student (like me) more of a chance to relate to it all. A lot of YouTube videos just give you the data and one or two reasons why, but this is a very cold way. You make it more personable.

I like this video and it shed some light on the usage of estuve versus estaba but still I am confused when to use it . I still hold this concept that if it is a long process I use “ estaba pensando “ but if it is at specific time then I use simple past “ pensé “

Thanks for this explanation. I recently asked a friend some questions relating to these verb forms and I understand it better now

NuNu, this video was LA BOMBA. Good job.

Super explanation!! Aba/ia - open ended past and undefined duration, estuve /endo - more recent past and limited duration (a process), é/í - specific point in the past, fixed duration and complete, - endo specific point in time (now) ongoing.

The best deo was good, the explanation was great, but I will never ever get them right when I need them.

It's like I was deaf to this and all of a sudden I can hear. It just clicked! Thank you so much 🙏 unfortunately I still don't get for example pensé or he pensado, comí or he comido completely. Would love to see a video on that or if you already explained it I'll check the channel. Thanks again Nuria
