Iranian diplomat and former cultural attaché, Amir Mousavi, affirmed that

the positions and statements of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune,

have once again demonstrated Algeria’s ability to break all established “taboos” and assert its sovereign decision-making independence on the international stage.

Mousavi explained, in widely circulated media statements,

that the foreign policy led by President Tebboune is based on a firm doctrine that refuses to succumb to external pressures or dictates,

and places supreme national interests above all else. He pointed out that the technical stop of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's plane in Algeria, which took place at Tehran's request,

embodies Algeria's balanced stance, based on moderate openness and non-alignment,
