Romanticizing My Life | Edit 2
Hair Wash Day Routine for Fine Curls, Spending Time in Nature, and Mall Runs and Window Shopping

Simply put, romanticizing my life has come with its own terrain. And with any terrain, it has to be maintained and taken good care of in order to thrive. Even deserts need sun. And tundra needs an absence of heat. What I'm saying is, effort is not measured in what you do, but in how you "be." I learned that from my female nervous system practitioner, Veronica.

To start a magnificent day, the state of my hair is always on topic. I have fine, curly hair. Think water waves. Growing up in a mixed household has taught me two things: Everyone's hair is different, and each product will react to different hair in different ways. I then had to teach myself how to navigate these two truths.

After a long morning of self care and somatics, I thought it may do some good to feel the new Spring sun on my skin, and catch up on a little visual content. Upon finishing my notes and pictures, I became mesmerized by a self fulfilled prophecy of mine, to friend a spider, a moment I had been anticipating for a few weeks. I am surprised that it did not happen at home though in ways pleasantly content.

Days, weeks, pass by, and inevitably, a woman runs low on shampoo, and a completely montagable sequence of traveling to each one of her favorite stores is in order. I limited myself to three stores, because after store number three I felt fatigue, and though I could have kept going, my nervous system (and my womb) yearned for pleasure in a different way (watch my story highlights if you're curious).

With these decisions that started with a calmer state of being, I romanticized my life. Translation: I'm regulating my nervous system.
