Been a long time fan of Joan, and some of her songs have really touched me and even helped me get through different times.
When I've been spreading the word to others about Joan, one thing I'm aware of saying is "she is just authentic!". Friends have pushed back, asking me to define this authenticity, to which I say that I just believe every emotion that she sings and plays.
I think her comments and contributions above, regards her art, just prove that she writes and performs from a real emotional place and not a formula.
