Let me take you with me on this beautiful hike I did in July, when my family and I visited Spain. I know I haven’t posted a video in a while, and I’ll try to do better :) I hope this video makes up for it a little!

This hike is called Monasterio San Pedro de Roda - Castillo de Verdera, and it’s close to the city of Roses, where we were staying. I must say, it was our first time in northern Spain, but definitely not our last!

The trail takes you around Sant Pere de Rodes, a medieval monastery overlooking the Costa Brava, and up to the ruins of Verdera Castle (Apologies for skipping that part in the video). Nearby, you’ll also find the ancient church of Santa Helena and the remains of the medieval village of Santa Creu de Rodes. It’s all part of Cap de Creus Natural Park, so there’s plenty of history to discover along with those beautiful mountain and Mediterranean views!

I’ll leave an AllTrails link below and in the comments, in case you love it so much that you want to experience it for yourself :) It was pretty hot that day and super windy, but I think my external mic did a good job given how strong the wind was. I hope you’ll enjoy coming along with me and taking in the beautiful views from Verdera Mountain!
