I love my D200 so much he he

I have it's lighter weight version...the D80. It tends to overexpose on aperture priority mode but otherwise a great camera. Looks film like to me with the right lens

I have a D200. With the automatic exposure I didn't have trouble with overexposure.

Great info! I have the D200 and D300. CCD sensors were expensive to manufacture and less suitable for low-light photos, and camera manufacturers switched to CMOS sensors, which are in the D300. I like both cameras, but you do have to be disciplined with your in-camera composition because cropping can be a problem with the low-MP sensor. I have a D700 also, and I like the grain/noise structure even at ISO 3200. These vintage Nikons still produce great pictures. China is investing in micro-LED TV screens now. I wonder if cameras will evolve somehow with this technology as it progresses.

I purchased a D200 from MPB but returned it after a day because of the number of "hot pixels" in the images. Most photo editors can correct for that, but I wanted to look for one that didn't suffer from so many. As a side note, there is an online resource to download the Nikon software to correct those pixels in camera. I did it for my D80 and it worked great. There is a video here on YT with info if interested.

I was a wedding and portrait photographer back in the film days and early digital days.Bought new and I used the Nikon D1X, D100, and the Fujifilm S-3 Pro when I went 100% digital with my part-time photography business. I still have those cameras but the D1X died YEARS ago (the most expensive one!) and the Fuji still works but the rear screen quit working years ago. You can still use it but can't verify your exposures in the field, kind of like shooting film. :) From those 5-6 megapixel sensors I sold portraits up to 20x24 and printed up to 24x30 inch prints for display. I quit doing photography for about 15 years and got back in to it for my own enjoyment about three years ago. I love the older gear and have added a lot of Nikons in the 10-24 MP range and a couple of Fujifilm mirrorless cameras to my collection. I don't NEED any of them but I enjoy getting out and using them for the joy of creating images. How many of us now days print wall-size prints? As a hobby photographer I feel confident that I could print as large as I could possibly want with any of the cameras I currently own. Most of my current cameras are 10 plus years old. :)

This camera is slowly but surely becoming a legend. I found mine about a year ago in an eBay auction in Germany, in mint condition and with the full package: charger, 3 original batteries, a 1GB card, only 3K shutter count, and the Nikon 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5D AF lens. I won it all for just €74.

What a gem of a camera! ❤

Now I’ve added the Sigma 24mm f/2.8 AF and Nikon 50mm f/1.8D to the kit.

134 shots on 8Gb card seems low. I have a 4Gb card in mine and (from memory) get more than that - I usually shoot NEF + JPEG fine. I get the error message on mine sometimes. Other than that, it is a pleasure to use.

Great video!! Just picked up one this weekend for $80, came with an 18-200 sigma lens (which is soft but its alright) and 32 gb memory card. 23k shutters. I'm really pumped to shoot more with it. A few months ago I started shooting film but I tend to be mindful of what I click cause it costs so much. I feel like this can be my forgiving camera to try out different things.
