Just before this New Zealand had come to India and lost 2-0. After this series Australia came to India and lost 4-0. That's why England winning this series is nothing short of remarkable 😮

England brought Panesar and Swann on this tour to India and they were simply outstanding in this series. India bowled out for 327 in their 1st innings on same pitch.

To being in loft mode against Indian Spinners in India on a turning pitch is some amazing guts and defiance. Surely one of the best innings on Indian Soil. Look at how the way he covers the wicket against the turn and swept Ojha and Bhajji for sixes and when it was spinning outside, he just picked the length up and made room to play cut or using his height frame to come front of the spinner. A masterclass.

Please upload Anderson spell in same series at Kolkata still the best ever reverse swing spell the way he bowled to Tendulkar was fab

This was branded as a revenge series for india , because india toured England a year ago , we were whitewashed, after winning the first match in Ahmedabad, a 4-0 defeat for England was on cards but India was completely demolished in the second and third test , off course India was in a transition in this stage when Dravid , Laxman retired a couple of months back but a home series defeat  was every embarrassing.

Also the innings by Alistair Cook and his partnership with Matthew prior in the second innings of the first test set the tone for England in this series

one of the greatest innings in a turning red soil.

as ravi shastri said, "one of the great innings you'll see here". many experts still believe this was the best knock played by a visiting batsman at Wankhede!

Only team who defeated India in India in last decade 👏👏

Pietersen conquered Indian pitches that day. Ond of the best natural talents ever and easily the best Englishman in tests.

Most handsome and stylish player in cricket history

this innings was at our childhood days, & this series made us Indians cry, Sir Alastair Cook was fabulous through out the series with three hundreds & this one was special from KP

Kevin pietersen is easily the greatest ever to pick up a cricket bat. No one comes close. The pure ecstasy you feel watching him play remains unmatched.

KP’s batting average doesn’t do justice to how imperious he was as a batsman. Easily could have been up there with the icons of batting.

one of the best test innings of all time, KP was peerless when on song

Thanks for uploading this. As an Indian cricket fan, I was searching for this clip for ages but finally found it. Mesmerising innings by KP! What talent!!!

KP was one of a kind. He was fearless whether playing in India or Australia. It's sad that controversies ruined his career.

My all time favourite English Batsman.... ❤️❤️
(But that inning still haunts me😂😂)

Saw this live at Wankhede. He made it look way to easy !

Best innings played by an overseas batsman on typical Mumbai rank turner.......KP at his peak...❤❤❤

After that series, India never lost home series in their soil.
