What is the importance of being simultaneous when the only difference is that nowadays they force you to give up your belt before you move up, so you just can't be a simultaneous double champ.

If Ilia moves to welterweight and Alex moves to Heavyweight It would mean Ilia and Pereira were 1 division apart at some point which is NUTS. Featherweight to Welterweight and Middleweight to Heavyweight

The only bad part is people who are double champs tend not to have as long as a title defense reign as a single champ like DJ, Jose Aldo
