Where does the word "pang" come from, the Thai term we use for the "forms" of Ganesha? And where were the 32 forms we recite first recorded?

This documentary travels back from the oldest sandstone Ganesha found so far in Thailand, at the ancient city of Si Mahosot in Prachinburi, through the four yuga avatars of the Ganesha Purana and the eight forms that conquer the inner vices in the Mudgala Purana, to the illustrated manual "Sritattvanidhi" from the royal court of Mysore, the source of the appearance of all 32 forms. Then we return to Thailand to see how Thais created forms of their own, and how Ganesha journeyed from "Khru Chang" (the Elephant Teacher) to become the god of arts and learning.

In the middle of the film, ten key forms are explained in detail, showing how to read each one from "the meaning of its name" and "the objects held in its hands", because the manual describes only their appearance. It does not say which form grants which blessing.
