I have a PSA 9 Tom Brady RC card /50 I bought off eBay and went through authenticity guarantee. It's 100% real. A year later the exact same serial numbered card showed up on eBay as raw. It sold for $3k. The seller has poor feedback about selling fake cards. It still shows as a sale in your sports card investor app. I contacted eBay and I contacted market movers but no one ever got back to me.

Damage replacement on the Harpers doesn’t make sense. They don’t stamp the serial number until after the card comes in - to prevent these types of issues.

There's also an issue with 2020-21 Panini Spectra Tmall/Asia basketball.  The geniuses decided to make an unnumbered parallel that looks a lot like the black 1/1, so we have duplicate black 1/1s all over the place from that set. Similar deal with the stamps.  They have "one of one" spelled out, but the font and placement is slightly different. Both are going through eBay Authentication (PSA) and actual PSA grading.

yeah! right...Trying to protect PSA as usual

The fact that these two pro's can seemingly shoot off with amazingly thoughtful perspective after getting information for the first time...wow...Geoff is the example of B's hiring A's.

The duplicate serial # issues have been happening more and more now. What ever happened with the 2 flagship Kon Knueppel 1/1 first of the line cards? 1 was graded by CGC and the other was at PSA.

I'm glad u did a video on the topic

The reality of counterfeiting, inept consignment shops, and ridiculous grading prices and corruption will cause sports cards to become completely digital , blocked by paywalls , passwords and code. Just like buying cod points and gambling on randomized supply drops for rare weapons and camos . I really hate this reality

"They're fake" Topps told u to say that didn't they 😂

I have a 2024 Bowman Sterling Jackson Merrill Red refractor number 3/5. I bought a sealed hobby box on eBay, ripped it and got this card. Since I was new to the hobby at the time, I just sleeved and top loaded it. About a month later I found a sale for this same card numbered 3/5 in a PSA 10 slab. I reviewed the PSA 10 card and it was identical to mine. I thought maybe mine might have been a sentillating refractor but it didn't match other comps. I contacted Topps about the duplicate and they told me to grade the card with a different grading company. I have 3 or 4 emails with Topps and I decided to keep the card because Topps wanted me to send the card back to them and include the original packaging, which I didn't have anymore.
I'd be happy to send you guys the card and the emails correspondence from Topps if you want to do a show about it.

Just another reason I hate PSA and the whole grading scam.  I am so glad that every card I have is the stuff I bought from boxes and packs that I opened myself.

I think he is running cover for topps and fanatics. 😂

A couple years ago I sent back a numbered card to Topps for replacement. The card I got back was a nicer version of the card with the same number that I sent in. I figured they took a card without a number, matched the number and added it to the card then destroyed the one I sent in.

The worst part is PSA is grading them

In reality there’s really no difference between PSA Graded Slabs and Joe Methie Garage Grading Company. Just one has a larger bankroll enabling it to scam people out of their money at a larger scale.

Geoff on learning that the reds were fake: That’s good news I guess, that Topps isn’t making duplicates. (Four seconds later) - Topps made duplicate Dylan Harper cards.

I agree with T Pot. What's the difference in seeing i have cards avaliable in my hotel room at a certain time and selling them there. Who cares...

There have been sets where Topps AND Panini have both neglected to print an ENTIRE parallel for certain cards on the checklist, but because they are more niche than football/basketball/baseball sets it never caused an uproar.

Scott, that John Cena joke was great!

I love T pot. Always honest, always gives his true opinion, never one-sided. Keep him on the show. We love you, T
