This video uses narration and illustrations to clearly explain the true story of Nene (also known as Kitano-Mandokoro or Kodai-in), the wife who lived for seventeen years from the death of her husband, Hideyoshi, until the downfall of the Toyotomi family.

This video covers the latter half of Nene's life after Hideyoshi's death, as portrayed by Minami Hamabe in the historical drama "Toyotomi Brothers!".

On the day her husband's castle, Osaka Castle, burned down, Nene was in Kyoto. Seven months earlier, she had set out for Osaka but turned back midway.

[Lesson] Perhaps what people decide and what remains afterward are two different things.
