María Alejandra Ornelas Ochoa grew up in a Catholic family, but during her youth she drifted away from the faith and became deeply involved in the world of modeling, television, and New Age practices. Although she was seemingly successful, she felt a constant emptiness until, at the age of 28, she had an experience she interpreted as a personal encounter with Jesus. Shortly afterward, she returned to the Church and, during an Easter Sunday Mass, she recognized the presence of Christ in the Eucharist in a special way. This led to a radical change: she went to confession, began her religious formation, abandoned practices and relationships incompatible with her new faith, and even considered consecrated life. She eventually met César, with whom she had a chaste courtship and later married.
However, just eight months after their wedding, their marriage broke down, and César filed for a civil divorce. María Alejandra then went through a profound crisis in which she decided to cling to prayer and to Jesus in the Eucharist. While she was working on her own wounds, César also underwent a conversion process after his experience attempting to conquer Everest and ultimately sought reconciliation. After a difficult journey of forgiveness, prayer, and healing, they rebuilt their relationship, remarried civilly, and placed the Eucharist at the center of their marriage. Today, they continue working on their own restoration and serve others together, convinced that crises can become a path of purification, forgiveness, and transformation when experienced through faith.
