"the lion does not concern himself with the winrate of boros" is a top 10 line of all time for lsv right up there with "how do you hug death fog"

I think it's much more relevant to counter Booster Tutor, rather than what someone gets with it, unlike a normal tutor, because it's not just finding the card in your deck, it's creating the card, so it will put a copy of a card you didn't previously have into your graveyard which could be very relevant in decks with cards that interact with the GY.

Brother, that throw Riddler into Tendrils kill was just chef kiss

1:01:27 Luis: "Iam dying but they're also dying" LMAO. Well played sir. 🙂

4:10 Booster Tutor has another advantage over Mana Drain that you didn't mention, namely that it is just way more fun when it resolves.

that bombardier riddler turn 5 win was awesome

I started watching LSV in... 2017? 2018 maybe? This draft is what it was like  to watch him then, and it's what got me hooked. Drafting absurd storm to play against non-pros, and having moments of sheer brilliance with these intricate, complex combo decks.

Loading riddler in the cannon was the cleanest KO ive seen.

Ahh yes, Izzet Aggro Ten Drills, my favorite vintage cube archetype

At 47:25 actually, Leyline of the Void is worded exactly like Dauthi Voidwalker and too does not prevent tokens from dying. Rest in Peace does, since it specifically calls out "a card or token".

57:45 LSV saving the community with his Once Upon a Time PSAs 📿

this cube let me play with power for the first time, had my first brain freeze kill ever today! watching Luis makes piloting combo decks seem so much easier, I'm making so many mistakes hahaha

This is the level of drafting and gameplay 99.99% of Cube players want to reach but can never.

Now THIS is podclamping!

As the resident Skullclamp enjoyer, imagine my joy when it carried every game and even decided to somehow show up as a second copy one game - this one was a Skullclamp brew for the ages

That Riddler into Tendrils line might be an all-timer - that and the "the lion does not concern himself with the winrate of Boros" line.

That riddler throw kill has got to be one of the most amazing way I’ve ever seen someone die in a game of magic! Well played LSV! 👏🏻

Giving LSV a lotus against arena cubers is some level of stomping!

The 17lands cube data is an EXCELLENT illustration of the pitfalls of the data.

Yes Boros aggro cards have higher GIHWRs but once you sort the data by top players, all of that collapses and Lotus, Recall and Time Walk regain their spot at the top. It's something I've been saying awhile about all data not just MTG data. You have to look at all the variables and context behind the data and not just take things at face value. Boros is just easier to draft and pilot. You can give me one of the best storm decks possible and I'll go 3-3 at best and Luis will trophy every time.

People really need to analyze data correctly.

1:01:24 HOLY SHIT HAHAHA that was beautiful
