I feel like the Wildhammer dwarves also deserve a better city/town. They played a big role in the second & third wars but get way less lore and attention than the dark irons.

man i love dalaran city especially the valor vendors and.... wait... damn you arthas!

put holy shield up there and give us avenger's shield as the last talent

Thank you for taking to blizz about reckoning. Their recent change is so bad. Keep it up

7:06 bad time to be listening without headphones....

I am loving items like this. These gloves are good but in the hands of an arcane mage these are god teir for their level.

Items like these make the leveling experience so much fun

Avengers shield 31 talent. Just don’t make it do splash damage just bounce to two extra targets with reduced damage. Like 100->60->30 (no splash like retail) I only say reduced damage since they are afraid of making too many strong aoe abilities.
I think it’s just such an awesome prot pally move to not give them.

love these videos

tanking without holy conduit kinda feels icky as well

Our Alliance group consisted of three different DPS players—a Warlock, a Hunter, and a Mage—along with a Paladin tank and a Priest healer. We had a mix of blue and green gear, though most of us had been wearing green gear previously! Blizzard, listen up: please make the bosses harder!

Didn’t check what any of the armor pieces looked like that dropped, and didn’t do the one boss I thought he’d have the biggest issue with (green one in middle) because of retail style ground highlighting mechanics. Smh.

i wanted to lvl as prot but honestly, no point in comparision to ret

im gonna put my thoughts here cause i really think Blizz devs will watch some of those videos and may read comments. As context i roled, leveled and raid as prot pally in classic 2019 on a casual latin guild with 6 warriors (2 of them tanks) and 5-6 hunters and many other underoptimized settings, it was a nightmare, we went to raids with the few we could recruit and we were an average to bellow average performance group, in that ambient i fully embrace  the spamming kings playstyle and i saw all the flaws with talents, itemization and sort of spirit of the spec and i want to comment on what esfand propose on this video plus some things he has said for prot pally as well as some other topics i find relevant for the state of prot pallys in wowf  (excuse my broken english btw)

-this is my personal story/point of view: my perspective the first time i play classic was almost blind, i only did play some tbc and wrath and never knew how was the game balanced before those expantions, but my thought ''man a holly knight welding a big shield facing large groups of enemies'' was the role fantasy i ever dream. Did i felt like that when i played a prot pally in classic? absolutely not, but i was too stuborn to abandom my hopes for trying to make the speck work, and trying to convince the 4-5 tryhards of my guild officers that where the only good players out of the 40 roster to let a pala tank onyxia was a challenge of proportions, after that to any new paladin player that asked me if i recommend them to play prot i said hell nah its not worth it, the spec was simply just not meant to be on the spot of tanking end game content for any reason and that was really sad, after that tbc prot felt like a dream, and then in wrath the spec was too op and threat was kinda pointless etc

- the tryspec could be a cool thing but in no way shape of form improve seal of fury should be baseline, with that said also i disagree with the ''you dont play the speck you play the class'' as an absolute  statement heres why, fist i think its fine that someone could do some nich expreriments with builds and talents but aiming to get things for 3 different specializations should also have a biger drawback and i dont think it should be the primary focus for the devs to try to balance those extremely nich scenarios (you can already see it with what they did with seal twisting and all the controversy gererated because of it); second making improve seal of fury baseline will give more excuses to not tank as prot but as ret or even holy/shoka since rightous fury+seal of fury+judge its already enough for any pala to throw on a 1h+shild to do some light tanking, if made it  will give the sufficient strong support to holy/ret to tank anything spetially while leveling, and making a speck to only be use at endgame feels bad and will take away identity for a spec that already suffer enough in og vanilla; second theres some value on the ''improve X'' talents and spetially for hybrids specs imo, it does let the player embrace the role that spec is trying to aim, gives weight to a talent point spend on a spec over the other, it narrows a pathway, you wanna tank casually -> use the tanking spells vs you want To Be A Tank -> go prot, this is more important for new players since veterans and tryhards will know what to do before hand, third theres the slippery slope i fear the most and that i also kinda saw for a time in sod that ret will be better for tanking than prot/''fury warriors tanking but is pallys'' all over again and i despite it so much

- holy shield as a 11 talent point: again i think it will give more reason for other specs to dip a little in prot and tank, i think holy shield is iconic for prot pallys, 4 staks feels kinda weak tho but devs probably see things we players at lvl 30 on the beta cant (reason why they also remove blessing of sanctuary), the argument that ''warrios have shield block why pallys cant have it before'' i dont think is good for the reason that class identity matters, warrios should be the best tanks (spetially in single target) since they are masters of the art of fighting, thats why they have early acces to avoidance spells and have big defensive cds, pallys are hybrids with a focus for aoe threat that can be viable tanks but they have to earn it and thats why we have to graduate in a spec to have those improve abilities, i find that really cool and i think the devs got the point with the changes already implemented, but i also think holy shield should be up a little on the tree and have another capstone that embrace more the aoe tank fantasy, something like ''modifies holy strike to do an x amount of the damage of the primary target to up to 2 or 3 other nearby targets'' (theres already something that modifies holy strike in the speck but i think its better to improve an existing spell rather than adding another button to press), or something that makes consecrate give block value or modifing holy shield to have more charges and give some additional block value or heck even changing holy shield position with templars bulwark, anything but dont add avengers shield pls

- reckoning internal cd: i dont think we have enough information to judge it yet but i can see why esfand is worried about it, but also i can see that if we are spected to tank groups of mobs we will be blocking a lot and could be a perma thing etc, will have to test more how it feels in actual launch

Final thoughts: one-handed weapon specialization should increase all damage while a 1h weapon is equipe, if we are going to go  deep in the aoe tank fantasy we should enable it more, having an increase on your white hits just applies to you vs 1 target at the time for the increse to be noticeable. Moving holy shield up the tree a bit so we have a new capstone that modifies one of the tanking spells to embrace the aoe or adds some scaling base on a tanking stat/damage could be cheff kiss. Other than that im pretty happy for what they have change for prot pallys, its feels like an overall improvement compared to how it was in vanilla without being too overtune/facerolly like in wrath onwards. I cant wait to see the changes on itemization and gear prog on the actual launch

I think the 11pt Judgement reset thing is just dumb.  Give us a real "emergency Taunt" otherwise, what's the point of it?  I hate that our Taunt is tied to a rotational ability, and emergency buttons are given as talents instead of having a second Taunt/AoE emergency button.

Give us Hand of Reckoning at 11, it's that simple.

I like how your team is just sitting there patiently while you fuck around with the NPCs.

Prot talent to turn Holy Strike into Avengers shield plz :)

Them Hobbit’s feet❤

Can't wait to meet Doofus Alphamage and Archmage Modelo.

Esfand is the biggest ambassador to this game. His passion for it just pours out! If I finally decide whether to start playing again, it would be all because of him!

are those battle mage wrists?
