everytime I watch a ex muslim logic , my faith becomes stronger

She’s ok with taking her morality from a random Joe but not from the One Who created her

“She didn’t leave Islam. Islam left her.” So true! Subhan’Allah!

I feel bad for many Ex Muslims, they go astray because of small refutable doubts, they leave a whole religion without irrefutable reason

She's brainwashed in the western world. in Somalia theere is no such thing of marriying 9 year old. At the end she was arrogant and not sincere. May alaha guide our sister..

I have a family member who left islam  and I struggled so much with this. Cried myself to sleep many nights.  literally could not enjoy food for weeks. Everytime it came to my mind i fell to the ground and sobbed.  I started making dua i said "Oh Allah my soul can't handle anymore help me heal and understand "  that night  I had a dream I was told rest your soul this person didn't left islam but  Islam left them because of the conditions of their heart. Purity and impurities can't exist in the same place one takes over, falsehood and truth can stay in the same heart. I woke up that morning healed and I was able to look at her situation in a different lence which meant she worked overtime for her misguidence.  Oh Allah don't take my soul unless i am in a state of Islam and pure monotheism.  AMIIN

Social media and feminism destroyed the Muslim community and Somalis are not immune. Concerned Somali sister from Canada. May Allah preserve our deen.

Please make duaa for me that I memorize the Qur’an. 😊

As a Somali 🇸🇴 I am shocked 😲,  May Allah Guide her aamiin

Brother I just wanted to let you know we Somalis appreciate your content and love you. We’re getting a lot of hate from other fellow Africans and Europeans in general but that doesn’t matter as long as we as Muslims unite together. And i love every Muslim for the sake of Allah and the suffering of our oppressed brothers and sisters across the globe will soon come to an end. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters are our role models when it comes to having a strong Iman. May Allah give them Jannah al Firdaus and may Allah give us Muslims a strong iman like the Palestinians 💪🏾☝🏾

The patience that the Muslim Lantern has in dealing with such people is truly incredible

My heart broke when she said Somali 😭 we don’t do them tings

I wish i was born a muslim i feel like i lost so many years as a christian.

We don’t claim her 🇸🇴 Alhamdullilah for Islam

Istaqferuallah 😢 We Somalis are  100% Muslim... May Allah guide her

As a somali there’s no problem of asking questions you don’t know and removing ignorance from your heart at same time I am shocked Subhannallah

Subhanallah am Somali too living in the west. May Allah guide that girl, it’s obvious that she lives in the west too and listens to hateful rhetoric from islamaphobes, like that’s their textbook exact words they use.  Unfortunately I went through this too but I did my research and asked questions about my religion instead of listening to misinformation. May Allah protect us from such ignorance

As a Proud Somali Muslim and  on behalf our international community,

“We do NOT claim her, WE NEVER WILL, end of discussion!” 🙅🏽‍♂️

Referring to Nietzsche as a source for the concept of morality is crazy. He did not even believe that what people call good morality was good. He called it slave morality and basically said there was master morality that was better, and they did what they wanted and could, in fact, be what people would consider oppressors. So, quoting Nietzsche as a source of the conception of morality is quite bankrupt. He even said that master morality did not wait for ethical confirmation or moral considerations in their actions and would just project their will. The guy was literally saying tyrants are better than good people. Coming in a discussion about morality, then referencing this is just mind-boggling, and I think she never read his books. If you were strong in society, irrespective of whether you are good, that is the better morality, according to him.

The even more fun thing, Kant is extremely distinct from Nietzsche. She quoted both as if they were concordant or complementary, but could not be more oxymoronic, and ultimately contradict her attempts. Kant's view of morality was not from feelings but from rationality. He believed morality from a pragmatic instrumental rigid sense and not from the concept of feeling. It was more of a duty and universalized. Kant is very distinct from liberal morality. These sorts of things have nothing to do with Nietzsche, and neither do I believe she subscribes to it because, by any rational means, Islam fulfills all the relevant criteria for morality.

Both of them would disagree with her, and neither for the same reason. And basically in some sense, Kant has some Islamic morality but falls short because Islam is also much more comprehensive and does not only fall on rationality, although it completely fulfills the rational reasoning. So to Kant, saying you just don't like something because it is your opinion would be absolutely worthless.

At the end of the day, Kan'ts morality is engineered and secularized. Because we would call upon Allah while he tried to secularize and just brute force a core which he called the Categorical Imperative. And that is not something Islam agrees with. Similar to another famous rationalist, Descartes, who stated, I think therefore I am. This is another brute force and flawed and Islam has the answer because, what is "I." Muslim say, God exists, He created "I," therefore I am. Kant was not liberal but very secular in a way. But ultimately, just rationalism is not sufficient and a liberal ex-Muslim would never quote either for morality since their systems would never lead to liberalism.
