In this reaction film I watch My Cousin Vinny for the first time! My Cousin Vinny (1992) is a legal comedy film about two New Yorkers accused of murder in rural Alabama who call in the help of one of their cousins, a loudmouth lawyer with no trial experience.

There is a reason Marisa Tomei won Best Supporting Actress for this role. She absolutely was the center of attention in every scene she was in.

Finally a reactor who got the joke when he got better sleep in jail with the loud noises he's used to hearing in the big city!

This movie is like Exhibit A in why every attorney needs a good paralegal.

I heard someone else mentioned once that this movie has no villains. No "bad guys." Every character is likable, but there is still good conflict between them and entertaining dialog. A fantastic movie.

Marisa Tomei set completely unrealistic expectations for romantic partners for several generations of men with this movie

There's a reason this comedy is actually respected by law schools, while most courtroom dramas are not.
Also, that Mona Lisa Vito is one of the best characters in cinema history.
Unforgettable.

This movie is actually highly recommended to be watched by law students on how cross-examine a witness. It's practically by the book the way real lawyers do it.

A film shown in law schools to teach basic courtroom rules to new lawyers, such as to never ask a question you don't already know the answer to or never tick off the judge.

IMO, this is Marisa Tomei's best movie. The awards she got for this movie was well deserved.

Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei are fantastic. We also have the judge, played by Fred Gwynne, known for his role as Hermann Munster in "The Munsters" and for his roles in "Pet Sematary" , "Cotton Club" or "Car 54, where are you?". This was Gwynne's last film.

Lisa while on the pay phone; was calling Judge Maloy to fax the Alabama judge the status of Jerry Callo. Even when she was mad. She was still on Vinny's side...

13:54 I've watched all the reactions to this flick and no one has ever caught that "Vinny" is whistling "Dixie"

Law schools use this film as an aid to teach trial procedure, among other things. This film feels real because the director, Jonathan Lynn, holds a law degree, ensuring authenticity.
