As someone who loves vintage fashion videos like this always make me smile because one day in the future they'll be used as primary sources for people interested in 2020s vintage

You are the prettiest girl in the world Laini 😭 no matter whatever changes, your gorgeousness will NEVER

Love the video idea, makes you realize YET AGAIN that its not that serious and if you love a piece don't get rid of it, keep it until it's in fashion again or just wear it!

Omggg I miss your little Vivienne Westwood hat 😭🩷

theres a few things youve said over the years that absolutely have stuck with me from a 'reduce your consumerism' standpoint - one being the whole, "dont buy the layered piece. if you must, just buy seperate pieces and layer them yourself". i genuinely think about this almost everytime im attracted to a stitched-in, layered piece. another is "if you're going to jump on a trend, make sure you're purchasing the classic version of the trend (e.g. black capris), not a trend-on-trend piece" (e.g. polka dot capris, or something). you have a lot of great insights laini!

this is honestly one of your best videos LOVE it

I’ve been watching you channel for some years now and it was crazy that I could pinpoint exact clothing pieces that I wanted to buy or thrifted over those years, probably influenced by what you were saying 😅 100% worth it tho! im so happy with how my style has developed ❤

I know it’s not supposed to be emotional but watching you show yourself younger reminded me of how I was 15 when I first found you and I’m 22 now and I’ve just graduated university!

wow how so much has changed in the trends cycle I remember so many of these I didn’t get to have most of them because no way my mum would buy them or let me have them and I didn’t get a job till I was 18 - love this video 🫶🏻

Is it really a trend if it come back seasonally every year?

I never comment and don't fully agree that when I comment it's about appearance but GIRL you've never looked better. This tan, this hair, this make-up, that shirt in that color??? Also, loving the content as always.

Red is also a neutral for me now. So thankful that popped up as a trend a few years ago

THE COLOUR RASPBERRY IS (and has been) TRENDING! It's burgundy-adjacent and all of those tones are so IN. The back necklaces are definitely trending in evening wear too. I see it mostly at weddings, special events, and costume parties but it's happening. I know you doubt yourself on some of these but you're truly always ahead of the curve Laini! PS I kinda wanna try the turtleneck bolero for fall, is that crazy? lmao

I think the knitted balaclava will stick around, especially in the fiber arts community. Its a fun lil project and an easy gift to make for others.
Sooo many different trends, but for the most part they are all very wearable if you style them well.

was cleaning my pinterest board the other day (I'm a Virgo sun) and I can't believe how many of these thoughts I had almost at a subconscious level and seeing you articulate them so coherently is so validating; Edit- wow the garage sale, I need you to make a video about how to move on from your clothes, like why am I so attached to them, I admire you for cleaning out your closet when you find the time is right

I'm in the UK and I clocked a skinny belt on my lunchtime walk today! They're on their way back for sure 👀

as soon as it hit 2023 fall i got a wave of nostalgia, thats when i found you i think, that made me feel so cosy ! such a fun video laini <3

I think there are something’s that are classics for seasons like pastels for spring and then we get the trend of pastels for fall. That comes and goes. And sometimes it sticks.

Still wear a balaklava when it gets cold. My sister made one for me and it’s the besssst.

Omg I can't believe I've been watching you for SIX years. I was 18 and would clean out my closet at my parents' house while watching your videos <3

The Oxford and chunky shoe is definitely still very much alive and trending amongst queer people
