Bob Andy singing I’ve got to go back home in Meskel Square in Addis Ababa Ethiopia is still something that I can’t wrap my head around 🤦🏽‍♂️

Thanks for spotlighting these artists. I love old school music. Blue beat, Ska, RockSteady, Reggae, I love the old recordings of classic songs from these genres of music
Jamaica is famous for covering American hit songs. Can you please do a video on some of the Jamaican cover versions of American hit songs? For example: J.C Lodge covered I wanna hold your hands, which became an international  hit but was covered without permission and the producer and his record label was sued and became bankrupt. Thank you. Please keep bringing these sweet oldies some of which I remember hearing as a child blasting from jukeboxes in the shops and bars and sometimes from radios.

The Derrick Morgan show at the 100 club at the beginning of the video is a Roots Rockers Production.

The footage of Ken Boothe is from the Banlieues Bleues jazz festival in France, a date of the  tour in 2015

The blogger is getting it wrong because he missing out ,on the foundation of the Jamaican music fraternity. Let me take him to school, the foundation of Jamaica 🇯🇲 music fraternity is mento ,was around for hundreds of years. Then it moved to  Folks songs before ska,Rocksteady and reggae came in 1968. One of the early pioneer of the Jamaica music, is a man named  Vere John. He was born in the 1800s, and he migrated to the United States in 1924 , got involved in the united states music in New York city. He returned to Jamaica in 1939 ,before all you are calling legends. It is known fact that the very first person in Jamaica 🇯🇲 to recorded a song, is Harry Bellanfonte, born in New York city of Jamaican parents. He came to Jamaica and grew up, he started recorded about 1951 / 52 and Alton Ellis in 1954.The majority of people in Jamaica don't know about Vere John, I useto listened to him on RJR in the 1960s as a boy growing up in Jamaica. He died in 1966 ,a lot of people don't know about. He and Duke Reid was the only musician or people, who was dealing with music. Have a radio 📻 show on RJR in Jamaica ,some people is trying to teach we Jamaican about our history. Because they are very backwards, I born come see my uncle playing music. He useto play banjo and guitar 🎸, into the mento band. Before ska,Rocksteady and reggae came  in.If my uncle was alive, he would be about 102 years old. With all respect due,he is making a very good talk but. He is missing out on a lot of things, I knew most of those people that you are talking about. There are several people who was around a very long time, I know when Derrick Morgan did the independence August 6th 1962 celebration 🍾, forward march. I know the days in the 1960s, when he and Prince Buster 🤴 is. Going neck and neck in the music, I useto go Prince Buster records shop to buy records. For my step father sounds system, also go by Randy's  records shop to buy records. I useto lived very close to king 🤴 Tubbys sounds system and, recording studio 🎙 in Waterhouse in the 1960s. I am not trying to contradict you ,I am just trying to help you.

This brings back great memories

Where you guy come from telling people about Jamaican music

The Clarndonians song mentioned is YOU WON’T SEE ME, and NOT Rudy gone a jail. Also the Justin Hines and the Dominoes song Carry Go Bring Come, was not the original version they did in 1966. This AI voice whoever is behind don’t know much about Jamaican Music

Most of the history you give to the music is not 100%true.
