So the PSX version of Rampage 2 has some notable differences compared to the N64 version. Besides obviously sharper graphics, the PSX version also has unique music for the European and Asian levels whereas the N64 version just re-uses the same music from the America levels. Lastly, the PSX version features a bunch of FMV’s that the N64 wasn’t capable of due to the storage size of the cartridges. Overall I’d say the PSX version is the winner here.

As for the game itself, it’s very similar to the first Rampage title but one important difference is the limited lives in this sequel. Fortunately the healing items have also been buffed by a lot so it’s actually worthwhile to regain health. The mini-games should also be played as successfully as possible because you’re gonna need the extra lives

I miss the years from 1999 to 2001. I played this game on my PlayStation often back then. Pure masterpiece!

Man, just imagine your city attacked by a anthropomorphic rhino the size of an building. 😂😨

They DESPERATELY need to bring this game back to Xbox and/ or Nintendo. As of right now, they’re 100% blowing it by not.

As a kid, I played the whole game a couple of times with my dad. Those were the days. I’m 21 now and I wish I could play it with my dad one last time

The cutscenes for this game make a better movie than watching 1 hour of Dwayne Johnson preach gorilla rights and Naomi Harris talk about science

Damn, just noticed you can wreck the twin towers in NYC in this game.

I played this years ago in 1999
Good old days

Here's some tips for anyone playing along at home:

Don't just climb to the top of buildings and punch or stomp. Punch the building on the way up. It saves time and makes it easier to collapse the building. As you go through the game, being efficient with your time becomes more and more important as the time limit to destroy the city before an air raid comes through and does it gets shorter and shorter.

Don't stomp buildings from the top, unless there's a high-flying enemy that keeps shooting you off the roof. A building collapses when the number of destroyed rooms exceeds a certain percentage of the building's total rooms, and stomping the building from the top actually shortens the building and allows it to stay standing longer. Provided you punched the building on the way up, it actually collapses buildings faster to punch their roof in.

Be on the lookout for your character's Mega Food! Every character has a different Mega Food, which will fully restore your health if you collect it. For Boris, he's a vegetarian, he likes Salads. George likes him some Bananas, Ralph likes Steaks, Lizzie enjoys Fried Eggs, Ruby likes Fish, and Curtis prefers Cheese. Eating your Mega Food also gives you a hefty chunk of progress towards your special meter, too!

Don't just sit there and take it. Yes, sure, you're a fifty-foot-tall monster, but bullets still sting a bit, and it adds up in a hurry when you're a big target for all those little humans. The #1 killer of monsters is your own delusions of invincibility. Don't sit still, move vertically whenever you can, and eat any human carrying a rifle - not only does it remove a threat, but it also restores some health and special gauge.

Know what not to eat. Black Cats and Holy Men are a fast way to get hurt by divine retribution, light bulbs when turned on will electrocute you, and naturally eating radioactivity, biohazard, and skull-and-crossbone symbols are bad. humans are generally a safe bet for food, even though they don't restore as much as actual food items. If they're carrying explosives, though, they're off the menu; eating them will cause some violent stomach upset.

Many enemies can hurt you if you come at them from the sides. They tend to have a harder time if you come at them from above. Use rooftops and approach tough enemies tactically to minimize the fire you take from them. Don't forget that you can punch upward, downward, as well as backward when clinging to the side of a building.

Every monster's special is different. Boris's charge tramples vehicles and obliterates the first building he hits. Curtis hoovers up any edible humans on the ground and deals damage to the bottom-most layer of all the buildings he passes. Learn what yours does and how to use it while you're still early in the game.

Believe it or not this game actually helped boost my interest in astronomy. I know how weird as hell that seems but it really did

“People can be quite helpful when you’re feeling low.”
The developers clearly had a sense of humor.

Who wishes that their was a collection edition game of this series from world tour all the way to through time

It aurprises me how the people at first try to kill the monsters but when the alien attack starts, they know that the only hope are them

3:20 heaven help us, we're on the rampage!

Played the shit out of this game with my brother on ps1. Was pretty hard though, never got to the end I believe.

It’s a simple game for Rampage!

The game was simple but it was really good.  Too bad studios still don't realize this.

Man they really need to add this into the classic catalog and also Jackie chan game and 102 Dalmatians
