If a Ugandan A'level student came with Such a calc to do exams, they won't allow him 😂😂.  They'll think it comes with internet connection 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣.     Anyway thanks for your work 🙏.   You helped pass my A'level maths especially in the area of Normal Distribution, Binomial distribution,  and by your videos I was able to understand Calculus very well during my time in A'level in 2023.  Lots of love from Masaba Land Mbale City in Eastern Uganda 🇺🇬🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.   I used CASIO fx-991

love your videos king 💗 you’re my goat

Great summary of the situation, thank you Jack.

I made the point of the point of not having a dedicated Ans button but I think pi may be even better. As you say the comma is not widely used. I can see many more teachers and students who found the CG50 cumbersome going for the fx-CG100. It is much easier to navigate and that is the major improvement. In terms of features it is very similar. Thanks again for your observations.

great video

thannk you for your insight sir. I have the numworks and it's highkey broken (in a good way). I love the casio merch too.

bros doing unboxing vids now get this man in the uk charts !!! 😂😂🔥🔥

ive been using the fxcg50 a lot over the last few years (ive had one since halfway through yr11, i used it for my gcses) and ive grown very accustomed to using my previous answers in the next parts so that: 1. i dont need to rewrite the answer, 2. im less likely to make a mistake. however, i will do this with Ans and not by copy + paste. the issue arises when using SolveN. I love SolveN, it is great, it works like the equation solver in the 991ex. However, when solving with SolveN, your answers are given in a LIST form. That means to reference them, you dont do Shift + x10 to get Ans (or whatever the combo is), you need to do List Ans, which is an extra key. there are 2 major downsides to this: 1. typing List Ans is soooo slow, 2. you may accidentally type Ans and use your previous NON-SOLVEN answer for the next part in the calculation. what makes it even more confusing is that you can put Ans inside of SolveN, i.e you can do:

sin(3pi/2)
SolveN(xAns + Ans^2 = 1/2)

ive learnt to grow with it but god it really chooses some strange ways to do things sometimes.

Excllent review Jack.

But I have been left wondering if Casio really produces real advancements that are beneficial. And Im not just talking about the non-rechargeable batteries. Ive sworn by the CG50 but its missing so many key features, have they provided these in the CG100? You have identified very useful points in this regard.

Parametric mode dont have any of the G-solve features, nor does the Polar graphs mode. Cannot define implicit equations as you mentioned.

The distribution app which shows visually stats distribution is not integrated with the stats app, but the distribution app cannot do all the related calculations, you have to go to the stats app. Why not make all the features in one place. Why not have all the statistical data like critical values for all the types of distribution?

Copy and paste feature does not work on answers but only on input lines! (When you wanted to copy and paste that matrix, you would NOT have been able to copy from the answer line but the input line above, but in your case your input was the output, but annoying when its not).

You mentioned the pi key, but also the ANS key which is used very frequently is a shift button as well.

Its a real disappointment to see that fundamentally its the same machine as the CG50, with just the interface tweaked with almost all of the weaknesses of its predecessor.

nice calc

Jack, you need Stanley the knife whenever you unbox a, er, box!
PS If I solve Riemann's hypothesis, will you gift me your spare Casio fx-CG100?

What do you think about getting older calculators like the TI-Nspire CX? Just as a way to have a visual of the graphs we'll be working with. I find it helps with making sure my answers make sense when I have a visual to compare to.

i had to buy another cg50 because they refused to repair my mini usb port not impressed.

I can't see any program app. Did Casio drop their Casio Basic programming?

Should we get cg50 if we are used to the format of the class wiz fx 991 EX. Additionally, there are more tutorials on how to use the cg50, for example bicen maths demonstrates his teachings using cg50

Really informative thanks so much. Do you have a publishing date for the further maths book ?

3d graphing would be usedful for vectors FM and thats it really. no?  dyna graph is great tho, its hard to beat if numworks doesnt have that.

NumWorks is the best

Thanks King

I tested the exam mode and now i can't go out help

Thanks, for how much does it retail?
