His comeback has been awesome to watch. From the outside it looks like he fully leaned into everything that made his skating unique. This man's a wall technician. This man sees more bricks than a stone mason. I love it.

One day at a time

Day 20 for me. Been drinking for over 5 years everyday. It sucks but it’s beautiful being sober. I enjoy my kids waaaayyyy more! The other day I couldn’t stop staring at my kids, and it felt like I haven’t really seen them in years. It’s beautiful I’m aiming to get more!

The spanky, reynolds and ellington sober story help me so much to quit all the bad habits

Cool skater, good person. This inspires me. Day at  a time... day 187

Pissdrunx was an iconic era for skateboarding. Maintaining a professional career as a skater is pretty insane to begin with, coupled with a drug and alcohol habit is just bonkers. It's great seeing all these guys get sober and discovering new creative avenues. Love and respect homies 👊

Real talk. No need to chase artificial highs when you have everything to be grateful for in your life -- just being on your board, learning tricks, is enough. Then you realize with NO responsibility you don't have a strong purpose and then you're not fulfilled. Spankys a legend!

There should be a study done on the people who idolized the Baker crew and others in the early 00’s and how their addictions have progressed. Going on 8 years clean 🖖🖖

I never realized just how good that line is; bs flip, fakie ollie, sw frontside big spin. All respect to Kevin Long.

Pretty much every skaters story.

I’m on a sobriety journey right now, stopped drinking a little over a year ago, got a few other habits I’m still trying to kick and these videos have really helped me keep my head in the right place. Grew up skating and getting into partying in a similar way to a lot of these guys, and then had a genetic spinal condition that I didn’t know about catch up to me. No more skating led me to leaning into the partying more, etc. Finally in a place where I’m starting to be more mobile, but I’m not really supposed to set foot on a board  ever again, which has been hard to process. But videos like this and a lot of your other content have been an amazing resource. Keep doing what yall are doing, it really does help 🙏🏻

The awesome sobriety story aside, I really appreciate this interviewers ability to ask questions at the right time and just be quiet. Nothing worse than someone interrupting all the time when you're trying to hear the reply/answer.

getting sober is the best thing anyone can do. help your friends and family do it if you see a problem. be the person to influence getting sober

I had the opportunity to skate with this guy at the Miami indoor hood skate park. I felt like i was apart of the team for a minute.

That darkslide was nuts. Probably the best one I’ve ever seen.

You should do a documentary of all the small skate towns across the US and the forgotten skaters the rest of the world never knew.

He said "Life is a ride"👌 broken ass roller coaster maybe

It’s crazy seeing those photos with Spanky with Dustin Dolan. They were young. Look at Dustin now! He looks like he is dying, like the drinking has finally caught up to him. Dustin’s face looks like he got stung by a bunch of bees. I hope Dustin figures out that he doesn’t need to drink. I couldn’t imagine drinking all the time. Just like Dustin couldn’t imagine not drinking all the time. Just took me 10 years of trying and another 10 years of being sober.
