I can't remember what I watched last night but I can remember which films I saw and at which cinemas, three that are gone now the Odeon on Renfield St, ABC on Sauchiehall St and the ABC at Muirend.

Ah didn'y go intae the toon fur the pictures, ah jist walked up tae Parkheid and went intae the three P's . The Parkheid picture palace. It was usually a Saturday morning, and if we saw a cowboy picture we wid come out o' therr galloping doon the road slapping oor erses. We had the pick o' three picture hooses at Parkheid, so nae need tae go intae the toon. As for the telly, we had a rented wan where you had tae put money in the slot at the back. But, before that me n' ma pals used tae sit on tap o' the wash hoose and watch his telly through his windae. He steyed on the first flerr and his maw opened the windae and turned up the volume so we could hear the Lone Ranger playing.
