“May it be put down when the job is done” what a loving blessing. Ensuring that Kratos isn’t haunted by the same burden his blades bring.

For me, one of the most overlooked aspects of OG games is how much Kratos fucking hates himself, more than Ares, more than Zeus. The first game opens with him trying to kill himself, and throughout the entirety of the Greek saga he continues to descend more and more into self-hatred. That’s way, by the end of Ragnarok, when he realizes that other people are finally able to look to him as something more than a monster, he is finally able to do the same thing. And that is really beautiful.

As a guy who played god of war 4 and 5, and watched the playthroughs of the old ones, i can say i was really proud of kratos who had finally achieved redemption.

I don't see anyone commenting about Fae's lines: "The culmination of love is grief" and "To grieve deeply is to have loved fully"; like goddamn, "And yet we love despite the inevitable" of course such a good thing as love comes with the ultimate price...

“It’s just a game”
Just balled my eyes out bruh

"And still I follow!" The emotion in those words

"You will die Kratos of Sparta"

"death can have me when it earns me"

Felt that part❤

7:49 “To grief deeply, is to have loved fully” beautiful line

1:52 I love this scene... Atreus is so sweet, he can't hold back his smile 'cause seeing his dad proud of him is all that he wants. And Kratos opening his heart like he never has done before it's so heartwarming. I feel like Kratos really needs this kind of relationships with other men, like a sort of brotherhood that reminds to him of his brother of blood Deimos and his brothers of army, the spartans. As a woman I really like this kind of masculinity, being a bit awkward but still loyal and caring. Manhood is heavy in this world of rage and war, but finally he manage to be vulnerable with Atreus, he apologize and he even cries.

"there is no victory without sacrifice, but to continue living, you must not sacrifice that which makes you who you are, by doing that you will be victorious, but know that even those that have failed can always be redeemed. for it is never to late for anyone, you simply have to choose."

Beautifully crafted. Absolutely love how you intertwined the older games throughout the video.

Kratos seeing himself becoming a god worthy of love makes me happy

Now after the Valhalla dlc, We have come full circle, I am so proud of the character he has become, the character development he has gone through, possibly the best in gaming history. He has now accepted his past and no longer carries the same hate for himself, he truly is becoming the god of hope deserving of worship. A true hero. What a character, he will forever be in all our hearts.

7:30 “She was our friend” I absolutely love how Kratos understood Freya’s vengeful rage to the point where he refused to ever counter her attacks.

"death can have me when it earns me"

that's my all-time favorite Kratos quote

before that it was "I AM WHAT THE GODS HAVE MADE ME"

I don't care . The story of Kratos is one of the  best stories ever.

R. I. P. To the legendary blacksmith  Brok

It hit me awhile ago that God of war (the new series) and ragnorak is about Kratos redeeming himself. In the original God of war Kratos lost his family and destroyed the greek world and in this one he gets a second chance at family and saves the norse world. That's what's brought me to this video to see if anybody saw it the same as I do.

A tear came when kratos told the story of the man who chops wood.

Again an incredible production from a legendary creator beautiful work wouldn’t change a thing about it thank you ❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏

you can feel his growth and doubt throughout the video in almost every aspect, the music, the audio clips and the visuals. 12/10 work as usual
