During a mild snow year for Colorado, my brother and I decided to take a trip to Japan and see what the hype is about around the powder of this great nation.
The first few days we spent in Tokyo were to familiarize ourselves with the customs as well as catch up with a good friend of mine Minoru. However, one night as we were getting ready for bed, the news mentioned a massive storm hitting Hokkaido. That night we decided to plan a visit to the Gala ski resort in Niigata via the Jōetsu Shinkansen.
