Cale’s bottom line is “As long as I don’t die” he can be on the borderline of death but he seriously always puts himself just close enough to be alive and for his allies to save him. He doesn’t consider what he’s doing as sacrificing himself as he believes sacrificing himself entails death. But of course, the stupid dummy doesn’t realize that putting himself extremely close to death. It’s sacrificing himself all the same.
