I hope yall been doing well though! I missed yall for real...
What movie should i watch? #bingers

It’s crazy how this film actually had a disappointing $12.4 million opening weekend, but then after that, word of mouth started to do the trick where it had four weekends that grossed above its opening weekend after the first weekend, stayed in the top ten for 13 weeks, made 14 times its opening weekend, and finished with $185.5 million domestically and $485 million worldwide. Domestically, it became DreamWorks biggest film in a decade.

If Shrek 5 is on the same levels of great as Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and the first two Shrek films, it’s easily going to be a billion dollar hit and the highest grossing animated film of all time.

Antonio Banderas had a heart attack a couple of years ago and so his portrayal of Puss in this movie is something he really was experiencing. He said: 'It made me appreciate life in a completely different way and in a much more powerful way. 'It changed my life entirely and completely for good. '

I love that Death itself was insulted, not because Puss has nine lives (he just finds that absurd), but that he valued them so little and as a result cheapened his deaths as well. Ironically, he WANTED Puss to respect his life to avoid another unnecessary death.

you should DEFINITELY do kung fu panda r u kidding me, it’s an AMAZING trilogy!! hilarious, well written, beautifully drawn and jack black really sells any character he voice acts. Must watch!!

Fun fact about Death's "I was there..." line: When Humpty said the same thing in the first movie, we were shown previous scenes from a new/different perspective, but in this movie, if you rewind to Puss's fight with the giant and look closely when the crowd does "the wave", you can find the wolf standing quietly in a dark alley just behind the crowd!

There is a theory that Kitty was lying about not showing up to make Puss feel better, but who knows

Spanish translations
7:26 He said run run little kitty
16:22 She said you will be a dead dog (perro Muerto)
19:46 she said she will make them bathroom carpets

Fun Fact, the new Dreamworks opening will have a different rotation of characters each time except Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona will always be present at the end.  This means Puss, Kitty, and Perrito probably will appear later in the future in this opening too.

Kitty did show up at the wedding but she just wanted to make Puss feel better, because she heard the real reason why he wasn't at the wedding, and because she noticed that he was changing, so she wants to try to be with him again.

Fun fact: The wolf was whistling the song from a jack-in-the-box, meaning that we will never know when he’s going to strike.

Sorry if this scares anyone😅😶

Goldi's wish is to specifically have a new human family. Why not wish to find her birth family? Because prior to meeting the Bears, she was raised in an orphanage. That means her family are either dead, missing, and/or willingly abandoned her. Plus, given how sensible and pragmatic Goldilocks is, she's not going to waste her wish finding her birth parents who may not be alive or not even want her.

3:32 you can see Death chilling in the background

Kitty: “I’m gonna turn you all into bath carpets”

1. Death actually was there to witness all of Puss' deaths. At 3:31 He is shown in the top left corner behind the crowd.
2. Death is rumored to be a supernatural being because he is the only character that doesn't appear on the map.
3. At 19:41 Kitty said she will turn the bears into bathroom rugs. Which is a reference to the first Shrek movie since Lord Farquad turned the mama bear into a rug.

As an adopted kid with parents of a different race maybe I can shed some light on Goldilocks. I can’t say I’ve ever wanted to get my bio parents back because I do love my parents. But it is hard to find your place sometimes when you’re of different race but you’re raised like them. So you have trouble fitting in with the “bears” and the “humans” and sometimes you wish for that environment just so you can feel normal.

It’s not an excuse for her actions, simply an explanation.

It was so lovely to see Goldie’s story and watch her see her true family. Because even though it can be hard to fit in, even if you feel like a crooked piece in the puzzle. They still welcome you into the full picture with open arms. And we’re so lucky to have that ❤❤❤

Jack Horner had so many movie reference weapons. Excallaber stuck in the stone because he couldnt get it out, Mary Poppins' bag, the magic carpet, jiminy cricket, The "eat me" cookie from alice in wonderland... its so good to look at ALL of his scenes to find more.

Corre corre, gatito. Run Run, little cat

Perro muerto. Dead dog

The cricket’s a refrence to Jiminy Cricket from Pinnocchio

Los voy hacer a todos alfombras de baño! I’m gonna make you all into bathroom rugs!

Death actually did pop up in the background! When Puss is fighting the giant and the crowd does the wave, you can see him in the shadows. The corners of the death number cards also show him.

As the sequel of a decade old spin-off of a twenty year old franchise, this movie really didn't have to be this fire. We weren't expecting anything, Puss! Damn.

3:32 (if you pause it)
Just the fact that the wolf was there watching since the beginning is still wild even after rewatching this movie a couple times
