I purchased this dress in lavender at a Goodwill for $3. I cut out the bows and some lace to make accessories for an Angelic Pretty dress I have.

i literally hate that i can’t choose a style. like oh my god i wish i could dress as a pirate, a princess, a mermaid, a fairy, an elf, and basically everything else all at the same time T^T

For anyone who has had traumatic experiences with non ironic “brand wh*res” and gate keepers, please keep in mind: empty vessels make the most noise. These people are not representative of lolita fashion, they are an individual with a shit personality who also wears lolita fashion, and you will come across them sadly. Always be mindful who you take advice from, lovelylor has a lot of great videos on how to access this fashion so definitely a good resource if you’re starting out. If anyone tells you you can’t be lolita if you don’t wear $400 dresses they belong in the bin with offcuts of fabric.

Doing the lord’s work with these brands so no one else had to support them, lol...

You should start saying "binged" instead of "googled" just to spite them

Before you even opened the dress, I was thinking "there is no way that much fabric would fit in a that package."

You can make it into a lampshade.

I actually know someone who has the yellow version of this dress and it actually isnt that bad, but It definitely wasn't as cheap as all the others

I used to be really into lolita, I even managed to buy 2 dresses from a local physical lolita and alt fashion store. Even back then I was using the biggest sizes, and they were really tight and uncomfortable. Eventually, I had to drop lolita fashion entirely because there aren't many brands that carry big plus sizes. Which is a shame, in all honesty. I love this community and I wish I could be part of it again.

The sad thing is while we “save up” to get a dress, most are “limited edition” and have a very short sale period. They make me hate my life with my budget

As someone who likes sewing, the construction of this dress offends me

@Talonistrying 5 years ago

I've seen that thing EVERYWHERE, can't wait to see what its actually like.

Calling it as trash now

lets not forget about the people who have to make these dresses and under what circumstances

Lovely Lor: The sewing is so bad!

Im not a lolita, and i bought this on Amazon for 40 dollars to wear on my birthday! I honestly found it fine. I bought a petticoat and other accessories to go with so it looked nicer. It was as comfortable as any other poofy dress. I believe it only came with one bow though so i guess it was a bit different than the photo. It was a fine dress, better then the one in this video.
