Kayaking in Missouri.  Today’s paddle took me down the Missouri River from Noreen Access to Mokane Access, and the whole trip felt like the river was showing off. It started quiet and overcast, then opened up into warm, pleasant sunshine. I kept a casual pace, letting the smooth 2‑mph current do most of the work, and made it to Mokane in about three and a half hours — slipping in just ahead of a heavy barge rolling upstream. River level was right at 4 feet, the water was calm, and the whole day was pure Missouri River peace.
