While listening to this, I thought of myself. What do I get angry about. I don't really get angry at people. So I switched anger for frustration and cold shoulder/Ignoring others for my own happiness. So I was looking into my brain and heart for moments of my selfishness I guess. I realized, customers. Customers at my retail Job. I ALWAYS have (on a good day) a neutral if not aggravated (bad day) to the point of almost daring a customer to over react so I can throw them out of the building. And I thought about the customers. There is one 70 or so year old fine lady, but she ALWAYS seems mad or aggressive towards me. I almost think it is one of the triggers for me to go into MY state. I need to Agape her. And I just realized this very moment that PROBABLY the reason she always seems angry at me, is because she sees the contempt in me. So I will try tomorrow to form a conversation, I'm sure she has wonderful tales and wisdom to share. Thank you Tim Mackie.
Working in food service in a local church’s diner gives me lots of chances to exercise these love actions. I don’t always do well, but sometimes there comes a beautiful moment where it all clicks. That is Heaven. That is the Garden.
This is the passage from Paul was what I read at my father's funeral when I was young. It absolutely speaks to the love of the Father and in this case my father on Earth as well. I dont have kids myself but love when Tim discusses the challenges of a father trying to raise miniature drunken cavemen. It reminds me of the beauty of a father's love. Thank you for all of it.
Every time I listen to him, I realize how I have not really understood the Bible. His teaching reveals if you are really committed to the teachings of Christ
Ive been listening to this particular sermon on my Echo ( Alexa) through tune in. Was having trouble explaining tin my 14-year-old teen why I love her. She's suffering parent alienation and doesn't trust my love. And Tim's definition hit the nail on the head. Because loving teens at this age is tough people.
I also had a "jaja" moment from god, the moment i begin My Journey to find him, so i went to diferent churchs (catholic, evangélica, etc.) non fit My aproach i guess, i saw so many hipocressy and performance, ultil i found a church that fit me, just to find out that was My moms and dad "church" and that the building i was now praying on, i helped build it, so when i was a teeneger i was a rebel and My dad was a constructor, so to teach me a leasson he send me to work in that building, carring heavy buckets and equipment, i worked There for months to find out 20 years later that now it was gods turn to teach me some lessons
