40 percent drop and it's not being called a crash 😂.  I don't think this stops until 75 percent drop. People don't want these condos at 400k

Buying a home is always a risk. Many people lost their homes on 1981 when interest rates went to 18 percent.

No one should bail you out. You took the risk. Thats life. Others have lost and learned not to stretch themselves.

How is blanket legal?! OSFI allows banks to get away with criminality, but not the regular people. Sad reality of Canada is that there are different rules for different tax brackets.

Ehda iko solution bank te twanu kad ke vkhata tuhin bank nu vkha deo. Stress naalo changa credit vade bhanday ch.

I predicted this mess in mid-2021. I am a masters in real estate finance. I used to tell my Brampton cousins, but they ignored my advice as if I knew nothing as compared to them. Now they are effed !

Don't buy until the prices fall within 5 times annual household income, this is what needs to happen and will happen

Builders ne he Faltu rate vadhye c loke fas gaye ona de jal vich.Roti, kapda te gher basic lod he.

Iam going through from this ,I deposit 200000$ and I couldn't close leave my deposit amount and waiting for builder to send me notice letter

Babeyo, 400K chaddo, Brantford de vich 900K da naukshan de vicheya ik ghar lol. Reality is house is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Never mind 2017 prices, it should be 2015 prices right now.

Immigration decreased
Overtime finished and layoffs continuing
House prices decreasing
No CuSMA
Forest Fires continue
Cost of living up
Welcome to Canada 2026 😂

I don't think that Ms Bhogal has any solution. She is good in the database but immature in giving solutions. We should not be very negative or depressed about the future of financial matters. Fact remains that only prudent decisions help in resolving such a crisis and everyone has a different financial situation/strength and it's different solutions.
Rather we should talk about improvement of Bank's roles in fabricated financials of the borrowers vis a vis their eligibility criteria.
Fact remains that the improvement of the economy is also linked with the stability and improvement in real estate. So the upcoming policies of the Government will also be important for the citizens at large.
Losses and gains are part of an individual's business and have to be tasted when we make some financial decisions.
