Hey Folks - thanks so much for watching - we hope you enjoyed this video.

The spoon in this video is made from alder and is one of several silently carved spoons that we feature on this channel.

The vast majority of our videos can be found at spoonclub.co.uk - our ever growing library of instructional videos that cover every aspect of spoon carving. We release new videos every week so there's always something new to explore.

I lost count of how many times I thought "Stop! You're going to split it if you... oh, ok, I see, yes, that's right, you know what you are doing and I don't."

Rule number one about spoon club. U do not talk about spoon club

I am surprised at how incredibly soothing it is to watch him with nothing more than the sound of his breathing and the sound of the knife and hatchet.  It's like therapy.

I bet if they put the word "ASMR" in the title, this video would've gotten at least 3 times the views. It definetly deserved more views, that's some great work.

Silence from someone who knows what they are doing is a great teacher.

Wife walks in
Wife: Why are you watching a guy carve a wooden spoon?
Me: squints eyes I don't know.

I saw a lump of firewood, he saw a spoon.

I have never in my life seen such consistent and accurate work with an axe.

Watched this video a week ago, now all I do in my free time is carve spoons. Never knew how addicting carving and whittling could be.

Me at 4 min:  “Good enough!  Time to eat!”

Never seen such accuracy  with an axe and a knife.  ATB .

Hey honey we ran out of clean spoon can you turn on the dish washer

“Give me 30 mins I get you a spoon”

This video is a lesson on making a spoon… and on making a YT video.  No dumb music, or wasteful filler talk.  Just life in action from a master.

There's something fascinating and relaxing about watching an artist who knows exactly what he's doing. He's in full control of the situation the entire time.

Get a piece  of wood. Remove all the notaspoon.

No ads, no annoying music, just a skilled artisan and his wooden spoon

I tried this, and now they call ME , "NINE" !!!

When they forgot to bring spoon for picnic. Hold my beer:
