James saying the Doctor Who convention wasn't important while wearing the best 4th Doctor cosplay he could scrap together.

"I like me Erin" one of the top ten confessions.

"how many fingers am i holding up"
"none🤨"
"very good. it was a trick question"
I LOVE ORLA

I was SO shocked when people were complaining that it was "rushed" like did we all not watch the prom episode??????

Nobody mentions how when Erin changes dresses that shows that she feels like she can be herself around him and doesn’t have to change for him

Another really cute detail is when Mary said to Erin “if he really likes you it won’t matter what you wear” (in reference to her Easter frock instead of the new dress) but Erin only felt comfortable wearing it when James picked her up instead. She knows he really likes her :)

i always thought she treated him oddly, as if she cared more than she wanted to let on and was jealous. same goes for him!

When he picked her up for the prom and looked at her like she was the only girl in the world!

Girlie really managed to get herself kicked out of a houseparty by doing anything in her power to prevent James from hooking up with a girl they both barely knew....and they say romance is dead </3

Guys, fun fact: I was reading the Derry Girls tie in book Erin's Diary by the show's creator and James' put down Claire Danes/Libby from 'Neighbours' as his celebrity crush while earlier in the book Erin wrote her ideal movie casting for herself as Claire Danes/Libby from 'Neighbours' 😭❤️

When James came to get Erin on prom night.   Best scence ever

I like that james is potrayed as just a kid. Sweet and innocent boy who just wants to be appreciated. Adorable writing. I like that they did not couple them up. They're children itd be nicer if they remained friends and got together after growing up as adults

I think what also sells those scenes is how expressive Saoirse's face is, she naturally has a very expressive face.

The second Erin didn’t want James to have sex with Katya I knew she liked him 😅😅 and then the prom was so adorable❤❤

Another one... after the Bill Clinton 'I'm a Derry girl' scene, look at how Erin and James look at each other during the group hug.... 🥰

Lisa McGee can't fool me. She may not have let them end up together in 3x07 but their interactions during that episode show otherwise! Finishing each other's sentences? James caressing Erin's shoulder and her not swatting his hand away? The two of them dancing without any hint of awkwardness at all? The two of them being the main characters who were given the final interaction/scene in the series? No way they weren't a couple then and there! 😂 All jokes aside, I'm very happy with how the show ended! It focused on the friends and rightfully so. Besides, Lisa did promise us that they end up together down the line, so I'd rather take that instead of being chastized and accused by creators themselves (which is what's been happening these days) for coming up with such "fantasies". 💜

I wish we got one more season to see their romantic relationship grow they owed us one more season 😫

Don’t forget how cute they were in the last episode!! Also never forgiving Michelle for telling them not to get together. I desperately needed more of them together. it’s like Anne and Gilbert all over again. One kiss is not enough to conclude an entire spiraling romance😭😭😭

In the audiobook of Erin's diary, you will hear Erin filling in a 'Is he boyfriend material' quiz and listing the results. She's chosen option c to most questions.

C - He's a good friend who knows you at your best - and worst. Maybe it's time you look at him in a new way. Before you know it, friendship could turn into L.O.V.E.

She then says "I answered mostly c.......... No". She whispers the no in a sort of desperation like she has just realised something. I think this is the moment she realised she might like James.

The next entry in her diary after this is when she peaks into Katya's bag before Jenny's party.

I’ve always thought Erin had the tickets all along in that episode. I went and re-watched it and they never mentioned James having the tickets or giving them to him.
