History was made in the UK 🇬🇧
This video takes you inside the UK’s first ever PSA Regionals — a monumental moment for Protection Sports Association in Britain and a huge milestone for the UK working dog community.
What once started with a small group of passionate trainers determined to bring PSA to the UK has now grown into something much bigger. This event represents years of hard work, dedication and belief in the sport, bringing handlers, dogs, decoys, judges and supporters together for a landmark weekend in UK working dog history.
Alongside all of the action from the Regionals, we also sit down for an exclusive interview with two of the first people to help start PSA in the UK. We hear how it all began, what the early days of PSA looked like, the challenges involved in building the sport from the ground up and what it means to finally see the UK host its first Regional Championship.
This wasn’t just another working dog trial.
It was proof of how far PSA has come in the UK — and a glimpse at where it could go next.
From the obedience and control to the protection scenarios and high-pressure moments on the field, this event showcased some of the dogs, handlers and training that are helping push the sport forward.
This video is also dedicated to 'Ghost', one of the first dogs to start the sport in the UK, an incredible dog who competed at the Regionals and who sadly passed away shortly after the event.
Ghost made his mark on an already historic weekend by achieving the first leg of his PSA 3 at the UK’s first Regionals, an achievement that makes his performance there even more special. We’re grateful to have been able to capture part of his journey and showcase him doing what he loved.
His performance at the Regionals will now forever be part of this monumental chapter in UK PSA history.
Rest easy, Ghost. 🕊️
The UK’s first PSA Regionals is officially in the history books… and this is only the beginning.
Make sure you watch until the end for the exclusive interview and a deeper look into the story behind PSA in the UK.
