I learned how to use chopsticks as a boy from the waiter in a Macau Chinese restaurant in Lisbon. Later in life, Thais told me I was holding my chopsticks wrong. And the same later in Singapore. Realized then that there are more than one standard way to hold one's chopsticks, with everyone saying only their standard way is the right one.

This was such a clear and practical explanation. I never realized that keeping the lower chopstick completely still makes such a big difference in control and comfort. The tip about keeping the thumb straight instead of bending it is especially helpful. Do you have any advice for helping children learn this grip more easily?

Thank you for this informative video. I have always struggled with using chop sticks and finally figured out on my own how to use them. But this video taught me how to properly do so. I am so happy I watched your tutorial.

The explanation was excellent. The important thing is to follow the instructions exactly as shown, especially avoiding pressure on the fingers, as demonstrated in the video, to prevent strain on the small joints later on. Thank you.
