Sweet dreams David <3

My first 360 broke. Red-ringed, right before the release of ODST. The guys I played with said they'd wait for me, and we'd all drop together. I told them not to, I wouldn't have enough money for a while, and I didn't want them to miss out.
Two days later I find out they chipped in to pay towards a new 360.

Some days it's hard to get up in the morning. Then I remember my friends pulling me forward.
We all drop sometime, lads. You meet the right team though, and they'll make sure you get back up.

I used to play halo on the 360 with my wife. She passed away just before covid and this music helped me keep going.. thank you.

Miss you boys out there, hope we get to drop again some day

Back here in 2026. I have a feeling things are gonna get worse before they get any better. Hang in there brothers. Take care of yourself and those closest to you. That's the mission

This may be random but...I can't help but personally feel there is a lot of us that can look at that picture and think...we're that ODST trooper standing there and looking up into the raining sky thinking.. "Dam...Where did the time go?" And that's the moment you think of your halo parties in the same room, yelling at each other for screen looking, trying firefight for the first time, or even beating your first Legendary Story with friends or Alone. The good old days. Dam. Where did the time go?

Born too late to explore the new world, born too early to explore the universe. Born just in time to explore the golden age of the best digital worlds we'll remember.

"Loneliness is dangerous. It's addicting.

Once you see how peaceful it is, you don't wanna deal with people."

Whose ever here in 2026, nice to meet you. I’m Josh, I’ve been a halo fan since 2004 and halo 2 was my first halo. I played it with my grandfather and my uncle and my family back then use to do lan game nights in different rooms of the house. I miss those days… and I bet you had similar adventures with your friends or family on halo. Witnessing all of the events that took place, growing up watching the fall of halo and how a new company tries to rebuild the legacy you grew up with. I led clans on the game, made many friends and now I call them my brothers even if they live states or continents away. Halo will forever be my number one and the best franchise of all time, and I’ll die on that hill knowing my armor and spirit will belong to reach when I go missing in action. Goodnight everyone

Came back to this because my older brother recently passed, halo 3 and this game were his favorite, thank you bungie and everyone who worked on this game for making my brother happy.

The fact that most of us here have probably been in the same lobby and even fought each other many years ago  is kinda scary

This comment section feels like family. It's been awhile brothers... Good to know you are still out there... Somewhere. Stay the course.

"For us, the storm has passed... the war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight... our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."

"What can I say...? It was a hell of a night."

I was 14 when ODST came out, I'm 25 today.
I'm almost tearing up hearing this and reading the love in the comment, make me remember my chillhood.

I can't imagine what im gonna feel when I'll be 60 y/o or more.
My heart is gonna melt for sure.

Love you all <3.

“Chief, mind telling me what are you doing at that piano?”
“Sir, helping these Spartans sleep.”
