i think it's safe to say that she's THE standard of this song. her enunciation will always be the clearest out there for me.

Fact: The 10th Anniversary cast is the greatest cast of all time.

Love her so much. She’s TWO freaking Disney Princesses (Mulan and Jasmine).

Was lucky enough to perform with her as guitarist in queensland orchestra 2 years ago. Very impressive and powerful voice hitting back at me in my foldback wedge was memorable 😜👍🏻

I like the way Lea did with the “known”. There’s a feeling of defeat there so mixing it delivers that kind of feeling.

Sam!! I was just today looking at your page wondering when you would post again! Welcome back, you were missed!

Not belting that last "known"- making it softer, reveals her vulnerability. It's awesome.  :)

I'm taking credit for manifesting your return. You're welcome, everyone.

Also thank u Sam, you darling angel baby.

She is the Queen of Mixing. No one does it better than her, and her mixing makes every song she sings sound more angelic and never harsh or abrasive.

I will say that Leah sang this as she did when she was performing this show multiple times a week for however long the show ran. I believe it was a conscious choice NOT to belt this too much to help preserve her voice. As a performer who may be required to do two shows a day multiple times a week, you have to make these kinds of healthy and smart choices in order to sound good in all the shows. 😃

I was there, got tickets for my birthday. This is amazing but her rendition of A Little Fall Of Rain is something else. Makes me cry everytime I hear it 😭

We got used to the way the original Eponines sang this. They all sounded like baby dolls. And then came the delicate and gorgeous Lea  Solanga who has been a real game changer. May we never go back! Eponine’s character demands a more womanly interpretation.

When I heard Lea's last note, i wish it was a chesty, strong sound too. But then when i listened to other versions with the belt.... They all feel.... lackluster... i dont understand why, but i always go back to this version.... Maybe her tone was just too perfect for this

All I can say is, nobody sings it like Lea!

I love this song, and I love Lea’s performance. I could listen to it all day.

Welcome back! Your insights are always helpful and beyond inspiring!

To answer your question when eponine use heady mix it feels like she is extremely lonely but when it is chesty mixed it feels like she's hurting so much. just my opinion.

Are we not gonna talk about how Lea only took a single breath for that last phrase "But only on my own" with full vibrato? She is one of the best vocalists in the world.

Such a beautiful song, such a gorgeous singer and a moving voice, this is my favorite character from Les Mis, and Lea Salonga is my favorite Eponine. Sam, as always an amazing evaluation. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱

Lea sings words with a huge emphasis on diction and the script to convert the script to the people in front of her and does it well. I can't imagine anyone disagreeing with me. It is a superb performance :)
