Born in Osaka City in October 1958. Graduated from the Department of History, Faculty of Letters, Nara University in March 1981.
After academic life, became a researcher at the Faculty of Letters, Nara University in March 1984.
Currently, while working as a lecturer at universities and companies, he also works as a historian and author, writing based on his unique historical perspective.
He is the 17th headmaster of the Tōgun-ryū school of classical swordsmanship, holds a master's license in Taisha-ryū swordsmanship, is a 5th dan in Aikido, and is a member of the Mystery Writers of Japan.
