Hi guys, what a beautiful location you found! phew, I was worried about the return before you set up camp!! Luckily it’s minor damage, I’ll take it, that Fortuner is unreal! I had the same thought while camping last year at a river, and we are now trying out an inflatable kayak for easy transporting, so far it’s great! Just awesome scenery! ❤ thanks for taking us with!

I’ve recently bought a 2011 model Fortuner and had just wanted to ask if yours was lifted on raised suspension or was it standard? I heard you mention that you have a bash plate and was just wondering what other upgrades you’ve done to yours (apart from the roof rack and rooftop tent). Anyway, great channel and love the content

Great camping site. I have a Hilux with those same pointless plastic sidesteps. Maybe consider investing in some rock sliders and they also have a space to rest your feet to get in and out. They do exactly what they say. Slide over the rocks if the going gets tough, but they are worth every cent.

Werner, you should consider getting rock sliders like the ones from Gobi-x as they protect the door sills from getting damaged. The factory fitted side steps are way too weak to offer any protection. You still handled it with perfection. Well done 🙌

Looks like you had a lot of "fun". We've been there a few times with our 4x4 trailer. The floods a few years ago changed the whole look of the place and to get down the last few steps to the river. We used to camp almost on those rocks at the bottom. It was a challenge to get out with the trailer from the river. My brother in-law built that reed roof a few years ago with this son. It's a pity the reeds are already falling out. I think it's the wind that can blow there.
