Hit that like button for me.

DRINK WATER!!

Fun Fact: Rats cannot gag in real life. So the soup smelt so bad that Remy somehow broke the laws of nature.

When Ego was a critic, he was rail thin because "if i dont love it, i dont swallow" but at the end, you can see his stomach is more round, to show he's actually started eating more.

Fun fact: Rats as pets are actually very intelligent creatures. So its no surprise that humans eventually accepted Remi as a Rat chef😂

"Came out being a chef with no training" the situation with Remi kind of reminds me how Julia Child started. She had a government job, but loved to try new foods. She loved food so much that she decided to learn to cook seriously, and enrolled at Cordon Bleu. Now the woman is a beloved world famous chef, even after her death. Passion can sometimes take you on an amazing journey 💖

fun fact: the store with the dead rats is a real pest control store called julien aurouze & co, founded in 1873. the rats have been there since the 19th century.

Note how Ego stops himself from spitting out the wine, checks the vintage, then swallows it instead.

Man knows better than to waste good wine.

Whether you like rats or not, you have to admit this film is gorgeous, the animation, music, and message are all incredible. The writers animators even studied an actual restaurant kitchen to make the scenes in Gusteau's as accurate as possible. It's one of Pixar's best and a real inspiration to any artist, including myself.

"A rat understanding cleanliness.."
I've owned a few rats as pets. They are very cat-like in their grooming behaviours. Constantly cleaning themselves.

Fun fact: A theory believes that the old lady is in fact Ego's mom! Since the surroundings and the house structure match in the flashback he has, making it a huge possibility that Remy didn't do just any ratatouille, but actually his mom's one 🥺 now that's sweet!

Rats get a bad reputation for something that wasn't even their fault!

They didn't cause the plague, they carried a flea that had the plague on it!

There's even a featurette on this movies DVD that talks about it!

Not only is 18 the legal drinking age in France, it's also the drinking age in most countries. In fact: America is the odd one out for having the age be 21

Who else thought the ratatouille dish had pepperoni in it?
With this animation it legit looked like pepperoni, I had to be told it was a vegetarian food, and that was thin sliced tomatoes.

Going to bake cookies while watching this, I hope I don't meet a new little friend😅

12:48 This little joke of Remy gagging at the smell of Linguini's soup is even funnier when you know that rats don't even HAVE a gag reflex. Linguini's soup is so terrible it literally defies nature.

17:21 Billy saying, “He really can’t cook?” And then misidentified the herb himself. 😂

Rats are legitimately some of the sweetest and most affectionate animals there are. When I was a kid I had a pet rat who would sit on my shoulder like Pikachu.

Even though it grossed me out, this movie made me try different food combinations. I'm a picky eater so i had to get creative lol

The way they depicted cooking & tasting food as an expressive experience completely changed my perception of flavor.

This is the film that made me appreciate what I taste. Thanks to Remy, I like to combine flavors for a tasty rhythm.

Two things that were important to me growing up were my mom’s home-cooked meals and Pixar. I would eat whatever my mom would make for us. I always appreciated whatever she cooked, but seeing Anton flash back to his youth gave me an even greater appreciation for her cooking.
