As controversy over historical distortion surrounding the movie *Assassination(ies)*, which deals with the shooting of the late First Lady Yuk Young-soo, spreads, past anecdotes about the First Lady are being re-examined.
Actor Choi Bul-am revealed on MBC's Return of the Legendary Chief Investigator Part 1 - The Chief's Gathering*, which aired on April 7, 2024, that he received a phone call from the Blue House while the drama *Chief Investigator was airing. Choi Bul-am stated, "It was a Sunday in 1974. My wife answered the phone and said, 'Honey, there is a call from the Blue House Annex.'" Choi Bul-am continued, "I was waiting for the call, and I heard laughter coming from the other end. She said, 'It is Yuk Young-soo.' I jumped up." It was also reported that when Choi Bul-am was acting out a scene smoking in a drama at the time, Mrs. Yuk asked, "How many cigarettes do you smoke?" and when Choi replied, "I smoke four," Mrs. Yuk said, "Oh dear, just two."
