So glad you made it to Belle Plaine! My family used to visit the Arboretum often. It's a lovely spot and great for a walk. Sterling and Lyons are a couple of other small towns worth visiting.

Thank you for another enjoyable video. I have a number of my ancestors buried in the cemetery just south of Belle Plaine. I Have not visited it in a number of years. I guess the old cemetery is filled. As they opened a new cemetery that has much fewer occupants.

I never heard of this town either, so it was great to visit. What a beautiful place to visit. The arboretum that you showed was fantastic to see all of the tulips. I love tulips because they let you know it's spring. And another flower, considered a weed, to me it means that it's finally spring, is the dandelion. The yellow flower is so cheerful after a long cold winter, at least to me. There are many spring blooming flowers that I love too. That track for the school was cool, a bright red.😊. LOVE IT! ..."a small well maintained garden produces alot of good food" i live in a similar setting, but evil is trying to destroy it as we speak, it breaks my heart that greedy people is letting it happen - RANT OVER

I had a friend and football teammate from Belle Plaine while attending Tabor college in Hillsboro Ks in the mid 80's. I spent a weekend with him and went to his high school football game and met his family and friend's. A very nice town and nice people too. His name was Rodney Mcgee, I wonder if he is still lives there.

Excellent. But what would really elevate this channel stratospherically is if on your travels you could go into a bar and chat to some friendly, interesting local person about life in the town for a minute or two. Really!

I didn’t live in Belle Plane, but went to High School there, graduated in 1963. I have been to the school reunion in the past, but have no reason to go back now.
