“Give Us Back the Mass of Our Fathers!” Michael Matt delivers the extraordinary closing statement of the 2026 Catholic Identity Conference—a direct appeal to Pope Leo XIV, a warning against the continued suppression of Tradition, and a declaration that faithful Catholics will not be silenced or driven from the Church. The message is clear: Restore the Latin Mass—or face the resistance of Catholics determined to defend the Faith.

The Latin Mass IS the Mass. It will sustain the faith and the faithful. It is our hope, sweetness and life just like our Lady

Thank you, Michael, for passionately enumerating all the post Vatican II moral and doctrinal issues that are wounding and endangering souls and yet the hierarchical Church refuses to confront and clarify. A refusal that continually condemns souls, of all ages but especially of the young, to a chronic, destructive state of mortal sin.
May God have mercy on His Church and free us from this imposed darkness.

The Vatican is committed to a world view that leads to NIHILISM.

It the Vatican heretics can take over the true Faith, perhaps traditional Catholics can take over Synodality. We can claim to be truly Synodal; listening, accompanying in a genuinely Catholic way, etc. We can take the rhetoric of Synodalism out of their control .
