In August 2026, the Pakistani community grandly celebrated the Pakistan Independence Day Parade & Festival 2026 on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, New York. While Pakistan's actual Independence Day falls on August 14th, the parade in New York was scheduled for August 23rd this year.
A large number of Pakistanis and Pakistani-American families from New York and surrounding areas attended this colorful event. Green and white attire, Pakistani flags, beautiful floats, vehicles, music, and slogans expressing love for Pakistan painted all of Manhattan in Pakistani colors.
Traditional Desi Breakfast
The parade activities began with a wonderful tradition where a free, traditional Pakistani breakfast was served to attendees. Piping hot Halwa Puri was distributed to people for about an hour and a half to two hours.
I have created a separate video covering this breakfast, where you can watch the entire setup and see people enjoying the traditional Pakistani spread.

Grand Parade on the Streets of Manhattan
Following breakfast, the grand parade kicked off on the streets of Manhattan. A massive crowd joined in waving Pakistani flags, while beautifully decorated cars, trucks, floats, and various groups made the parade even more vibrant.
The Pakistani community's enthusiasm on Madison Avenue was worth seeing. The entire atmosphere was filled with love for Pakistan, national spirit, and joy.
Special Appearance by Bilal Saeed
A major highlight of this year's event was the special appearance of renowned Pakistani singer Bilal Saeed. His presence added immense charm to the program.
I have also made a separate video focused on Bilal Saeed, so if you would like to see his appearance and moments in detail, be sure to watch that video.

Palestinian Dabke Dance
During the parade, attendees enjoyed a captivating performance by a Palestinian Dabke Dance group. Set to traditional music, this energetic folk dance was one of the event's best highlights.
I have filmed a full, separate video of this Dabke performance as well.
