Loving the 18K. Always leave a little headroom for future expansion. Great video!

Thank you! David seems to be very knowledgeable and speaks in a language. The regular person can understand.

Great interview and product explanation.

I love my Sol-Ark 15k and my 20Kwh of battery storage, but the software and the settings are straight out of the 80's and are so unnecessarily complicated and difficult to understand! Come on Sol-Ark, at least try and keep up with the competition!

When are we getting native 3-Phase support on the 18K?  For the love of God, Deye makes it already Sol-Ark.  Just slap a label on it and make it happen!!

Please just have a normal thumbnail, these over emotional thumbnail pictures are getting so old.

If only I had not bought my 5 15k's back in late 2024, I haven't even opened them yet! Sucks knowing that the 18k, which is really perfect for my use case, I cannot get because I am stuck with my 15k's. And yet, my inverters are new in box and not even deployed yet. *sigh*.

SRNE releasing an 18kw inverter shortly they already have UL9540 with their battery about 1/3 the price of Sol-Ark, and 1/2 the price of EG4.

Impressive.  This is like a gridboss/flexboss21 because the sol-ark 18k can take in both ac/dc solar.  I's also more capable on power delivery than the flexboss 21. Tough to decide betweeen flexboss21/gridboss vs sol ark18kv. I decided with flexboss21/eg4 indoor batteries because of the tight battery communication.  I want the least amount of compatibility/software issues. Turn key reliability is more important than capabilities.

Parallel the lil guy and you double your mppts and have more capability with redundancy than the 18K.

@solarsurge Is the new 12k stackable with the old 12k??

The best inverter.  I think the biggest concern among possible shoppers is the reliability of the battery partners.  As well as the clunky app which needs a big overall.  Grid defectors unite!  Screw SCE and PGE!

So you can hook 28kWDC up to this and get ~ 25kW out? Or is it still only gonna make 18kW?

Americans have no idea how much better inverters are outside their market.. And damn cheap too

Sol-Ark inverters are manufactured by Deye, and EG4 is by Luxpower Technology, both of which are Chinese companies. Sol-Ark and EG4 sources most of the parts and complete the final assembly in the US to meet the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022, Investment and production tax credits, and the domestic contents requirements.

What I find so frustrating about Sol-Ark is they seem to want nothing to do with the DIY market.  Unlike EG4, which has a big price advantage on Sol-Ark AND they are much more DIY friendly, relatively speaking.  So why not just use EG4?  Well the Sol-Ark has two big advantages over the EG4, first it supports an Ethernet connection to your network (don't have WiFi, don't WANT WiFi) but the much bigger advantage is it can handle a full 200 Amps.  I absolutely will not (and for practical reasons really cannot) divert some loads to a "critical loads" panel, it's my whole house or nothing.  And I don't think EG4 has quite caught onto the fact that very few people want to have to decide which loads are "critical loads"  But I could get TWO EG4 12000 XP's for less than  what ONE of the Sol-Ark 18K's will cost, assuming you could actually somehow buy one without having to go through an installer.  That is probably why hardly anyone talks about Sol-Arm products other than people wealthy enough to just hire some outfit to put up a system for them (and probably leave holes in their roof that will eventually turn into leaks).  Also, unlike the SolArk, the EG4 12000XP's will not let you send power back to the grid, so you don't have to make any agreements with your power company.

Sol-Ark inverters are classified as "high frequency" inverter architectures.    That means they lack the large transformer that soaks up big inrush currents and transient spikes.
They work great for normal home loads, but if you want to run air conditioners, air compressors, or other heavy loads, you need one that is three times the size rating.    They're also a Chinese inverter, most of which have a high failure rate.
Sol-Ark is pure marketing genius..     but an engineering failure if you ask me.      The best inverters are the market are the Sunny Islands, and in 2nd place, the Outback Radian units.  A few others come in close 3rd place..     Everything else is a toy more or less.

This is not the most powerful inverter for sure. The ocean pro inverter is able to output 24kw continuous. 40kw solar input.

🤣🚮
